In 2.0? How?
Rename the map you want to play with in the editor(add a letter at the end for example) and then when choosing the map, chose the one you have renamed.
I have ongoing QBs over at The Few Good Men without any problem.
-
Yup, I installed 2.0 over 1.11 and have the PBEM QB 5% error. So that's not it.
I just needed to convince my wargame buddy to switch to scenarios from QBs until the patch is released. No hard feelings. No flusteration. Just deal with it and move along.
You can easily tackle the 5% issue and play all the QBs you want.

Check this thread, although it refers to the crashing issue it might also help you.

Yeah, what ever....
Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

I think you got the wrong thread with your reply. Everybody in here "likes" the games and none of the people in here belong to the group who want the upgrade for free.
No, i m in the right thread,if BFC wants to charge for an upgrade so it be,they don't force me or anybody else to buy it and i think that it's not polite at all from your part to try to tell them how to run their own business. If you find my post strange just pick a store in your neighborhood and ask them the same question i m curious to listen to their reply.
-
From this thread i m just keeping that 2.01 is being tested.
Honestly i cant understand why so much fuss for BFC and its products.
U like them you buy them, u dont like them u dont buy them it is simple as that, well there is a third choice if you have the funds, the knowledge and so on, u are creating a company and produce games by yourself........
-
I m happy to support BFC and in this way help them to improve and produce new wargames, after all is only 10$.
I had endless hours of fun playing their wargames and that saved me enough money as
it is way back the last time i bought a game that wasn't what it was advertised to be.

Thank you for your kind words.
I remember the game and indeed it was a good fight and a well desrved victory for you.
I see that it has been some time since you played a ladder game in Blitz as you ve last reported a game in early August.
That would have been a minus in FGM ladder as players which are not active for a month
(not reporting a game for 30 days) are losing one position in the ranking table(a good feature IMO)
Anyway you are more than welcome to come by whenever you want.
Till we meet again......

Nope, the Queen's English is my first language What I meant was that, for the ladder I am on, I lost game after game to stronger players until I finally eked out a draw and that was my first progress on the ladder. It mattered to me.
Eked out: see definition #2 http://www.thefreedictionary.com/eke+out
Great, I am pleased you are happy with the site. All I am saying is for me the ladder would be my focus so I know I would not be happy with draws not counting. Just my opinion that's all. I am sure others will feel differently or not.
Are u using the callsign ''A Canadian cat'' at Blitz ?
-
All I am saying is for me the ladder would be my focus
I see, well good luck then and may you top the ladder in which you are playing.....

/QUOTE]
Reaching a draw against a higher ranked player is how some of use eked out our fist progress on other ladders.
I dont understand what you are writing here, are you from the French part of Canada?
Indeed our ladder dont count draws but that is sthing we can live with.
After all FGM is not only about the ladders it has tourneys, discussions on various subjects (wargaming, military history, etc), great photo section (covering WWI,WWII,minor conflicts,Vietnam war,Gulf wars),a multimedia section and many more interesting subjects.
I m sure that if you had taken the time to explore it a bit you would have found the ''lacking of draw'' issue a minor thing not worth mentioning.
Anyway i ve made the initial post to inform the community for our new ladder(knowing that there is only a handfull {or less} of active ladders around) and also to give the opportunity to the fellow wargamers who didnt know the existence of our club to have the chance to know it.

Thanks Fredrock and keep up the great work!!

I just dropped what can best be described a "large quanity" of 105mm off-board arty on a Panther in the hopes that it would stun the crew/imobilize/damage the gun/anything(!) just long enough for the two Shermans I'd got behind it to do the dirty on the bloody thing.
Despite at least two minutes of four tubes on it and several direct hits, can I just say that it had no effect at all. It rotated its turret and dispatched both. To add insult to injury, one Sherman got a shot off and actually managed to miss!!!! We all know tanks don't miss in CMBN. Think it was the first I'd seen...
And then, with no small amount of irony, a sole squad survivor got the Panther with a bazooka he'd scounged. So much for the big guns.
At a recently PBEM game(la desert scenario) an accurate 105 mm howitzer barrage almost decimated a mechanised German group, among the victims was a Panther which was set ablaze by a direct hit.

I ve played as H2H Das dorf des Todes,Bridges for the 82nd,Rockville,squash the doodlebug.
What is really good about them is that the outcome is decided almost at the last turn.
That says much about the balance between sides.
-
Try one of Fredrocker's scenarios and u wont regret it.
-
You could try also The Few Good Men
-
Just for clarification: do you mean if you see the wrong setup zone in the map preview quit the game and reload the turn file. Repeat until the setup zone is as expected?
Yeah exactly, i ve done it twice so far in PBEM Games.
Reload the file till the set up areas are how they are supposed to be
-
Reload the file till the set up zones are correctly placed, that will solve this problem.
It's a kind of frustrating but it can be easily solved.

I personally enjoy a bit of mixed game play. Veteran units really shine when they are put next to green units. In a single company, I will generally have a veteran HQ (unless my head is roleplaying something different), and at least one vet squad, with regular and green fleshing out the mix. This way, I can really appreciate the skill veteran and above experience levels bring to the fight. When dealing with AFVs, more often then not the low rarity vehicles will have green and regular crews, with the more expensive/effective one having much higher skill level crews. This is an attempt to simulate a crack Stug crew moving up to the one JgPzIV the company has on hand. Or for a veteran crew who has earned their place in a Tiger or Sherman 76.
Hey Sakai i ve sent you a private mail concerning ur dissapearance from the FGM Cup.
Do you still want continue the game,we are waiting for you in order to continue the tourney.
Not polite at all from your part to disappear without a note, not answering to private messages and not answering your emails.
This is not a sportsman's behaviur at all
PS Apologies for highjiking the thread to the rest of the community.

Yep, quite strange. I received file number 3 from one of the two games. When I loaded it, it asked for a password which, obviously shouldn't be the case. When I 've checked load-saved games in the game panel, I've noticed a file named 'Alby vs Kilroy large 005 '', which I suppose it is from another game of my opponent. Now, I do not know if @ALBYhad a PBEM++ game with another opponent, and somehow this got mixed with our tourney games. The moment that @ALBY told me that he replayed the game the saved file 'Alby vs Kilroy large 005 '' disappeared from my saved games panel.
@BFCElvis FYI
