Actually the lack of the 88 is not too terrible given how little mobility they have and how much of a hassel it would be to move around the map. Regardless of how much of a shock the T-34 was, the 50mm L/42 could get through the turret of the T-34 at a decent range, which is the kind of hit the Panzer 4C need to get as it is. I just hope someone can mod some of these missing tanks in game. I know I cant.

No not the stuff I am talking about. True that the T-34 was a shock to the Germans, but the 50mm gun was not a counter to the T-34, they were added earlier as a result of experiance from the battle of france. Both the Panzer 3H and 3J series was put into production before Barbarossa began, October 1940 for the 3H and March 1941 for the 3J, both were armed with the 50mm L/42 guns. They took part in the invasion though to be honest how many made up invasion force compared to the 3Fs I really dont know. No thats the problem, the The makr 3J panzer has 50mm L/60 gun aka the long barrel series, which were not put into production until December 1941, which means they didn't show up at the front till at least January 1942. I am talking about the J series with the 50mm L/42. As for the Panzer 4F, I meant the short 75mm variant not the F/2 long barrel variant. Its just from playing the CM series the variants are kind of lacking in this game. Given I have to use the short 75mm as my TD, would be helpful to have the extra armored versions. Both the E and F series were produced in greater numbers then the C series I am currently using.

Yeah its maddening, but my advice, skip the German Campaign cause after the French Campaign its you trying to beat T-34s with panzer 3Fs and 4Cs. As for this map, I got lucky when one of my arty stikes killed the 75mm behind the town. Then I had two of my 38ts go up the very right side of the map since their 50mm frontal armor could take the 75mm hits, and draw fire, while my three squads and two panzer 4s went up the middle and assaulted the ATGs. DO NOT ORDER YOUR TROOPS TO ARRACK THE ATGS, just have them storm forward (S key) and they will kill the troops. Then I had two of the 75mms taken by my troops and sent the rest forward whith the 2x 75mms and the 2x4Cs tackle both the enemy tanks and troops in the treches, pushed forward hard and won.

I do not get how you are suppose to deal with the Russian tanks, especially the T-34s with bloody Battle of France Panzer3Fs and Panzer 4Cs? Its maddening having to rely on the short barrel 75mms to do your AT work because the bloody 37mms just dont cut it. Hell the T-60 is damn hard to kill with those, let alone a T-34. I mean what happened to the Panzer 3Hs, or the Panzer Js with the 50mm L/42's and the extra little bit of armor? Where were the transitional panzer 3s? Or the Panzer 4E and F series with the extra armor? Why am I fighting in 1941 with 1940 era equipment? I realize the actual German Army did fight with such equipment, but some of the 1941 stuff should be available. The missions are starting to become a choir rather then a mission. you guys do realize double clicking on any inf unit will select his entire squad, then you can move the squad around rather then the individual inf.

300 kbs for me, 1.5 hours. I really should thank my sisters boyfriend for tweaking with my internet, changing the TCp/IP info makes it go fast. Its actually not terribly hard to do.

The only reason I will be pissed is if I get the actual game by mail before the d/l is out. In that case I will be mad and demanding my $10.00s back, otherwise I can keep waiting.

Okay first off the comet should not be in battle until 1945 and I will be very mad if I see it in any British Mission before then. Secondly the Challenger was only available to units made up of Cromwell's given the fact both tanks used the same parts. Only 200 hundred were made. It may seem like I am making fuss over nothing, but quite simply I don't get how the company goes and makes the Sherman M4A3(76)HVSS series tank, which in itself is a slightly better Regular M4A3(76) tank but cant find the time to take a bloody regular Sherman V or Sherman II, and do some minor art work changes to it and some higher penetration values. Hell they could have just grabbed the barrel from the Sherman 76s and made a new muzzle break, up the penetration values and BAM you have a Sherman firefly. The Sherman Firefly was an extremely important tank, and a different tank at that from the Comet and the Challenger. The challenger for example has 100mm of armor in its turret. That will stop many of the German 75mm round cold at 800m. The firefly had no such protection. There is no way to substitute the Firefly with the Comet or Challenger, they both play differently I dunno to me it just seem a result of lazyness that the firefly could not be added, given how much of it is already modeled, I mean its not like it would take a month to make it.

I dunno, I dont see how the brits will manage against panthers without a firefly sherman or the 17 pounder. The 17 pounders made up 50% of the British ATG force and were mounted on 25% of their tanks by Normandy, I don't quite get why it would not be included. I don't have a problem with flanking the panthers, but it will be harder to battle them then it should have been. I don't like having a limitation placed on me that was not historic, and to be honest given how the fireflies were spread among the British tank forces, they were very much present in most battles in Normandy and beyond.

Did no one else see infantry units disappearing then reappearing? It was like playing WWIIOL and having the player visibility limit at the lowest setting, units just appear as you get near out of no where. LOok at 4:02 on the video, the guy in front of the 251 disappears then a bit later he reappears in the couched positon at 4:20. And at 4:18 another guy to the top left of the screen all of a sudden out of thin air appears moving forward, not coming from off screen onto the screen, but literally appearing out of no where. What the hell is that about?
