Krupp had a KV II defending it's factory in 1945.Originally posted by Stalin's Organist:There is no possibility that there weer KV-2's in front line service in 1943. Productio was stopped in 1941, the type had unique ammunition requirements and only 334 were built.
It is nothing like a Pz-2 or the T-40 that was still in service in Leningrad in 1944 - it requires unique ammunition, it is unreliable, it is heavy so requires transporters.
Wiki says that 2 KV-2's were used by the Finns through the war and 1 was used by hte Germans vs US troops in 1945 - maybe he attacked one of those?
Pz-3's were still being BUILT in 1943 - their use at Kursk is not surprising in the least, while Pz 2's were used as training and recce tanks - the last was BUILT in 1944!! One or more still working in 1945 is not surprising either.

or will I have to order it online

TO&E for it's deployment and service history if it can be found?

Where there any Panzer IV Kurz(L24) deployed in late 44?
Someone asked me, and I wasn't sure. I know there were scattered PzKw III ausf. N to the end of the war, and some post-war service(Norway, Holland(clearing mines).

The US Army captured it's Elefant at Anzio reportedly..What unit did they capture it from? What was the Jagdpanzer unit's history for the rest of the campaign/war?
Says the last Elefants were used at Zossen/Battle for Berlin..Was this the same unit that fought at Anzio?
Is there a good history for the Elefants deployment post-kursk(Ferdis).
working on a 1/35 kit at the moment, and thinking of doing a small Diorama..but not sure where to have the Elefant

Were there Ostwinds in Late Italy or even Wirbelwinds?
I would guess Static light AA, and Halftrack mount systems would be the most common with the FlaKpanzers being deployed East and West and very few in the south.

did not know that. wow. learned something new about WWII ETO.
-
was watching a WWII doc, and it talks of a airdrop that was attacked by Spitfires, never heard of this this happening, I know the HG unit fought on the island, but I didn't think they were airlifted to the area.
-
IIRC it was there in box last time cruised by looking for war flicks.

ah, new computer new install...didn't patch it yet..been DL'ing skins and stuff.

I thought in CMAK, after Italy left the war, the germans got ahold of some of the Italian assault guns, I was mainly thinking the M43/105...but I can't seem to find them? I know the M15/42 is there, but I swear I've used the M43s with the germans before.

It's Crap < scottish accent.
Just got ROME:Total War, while it's gamey also. It's a fun bit of a clickfest.

No, the 503rd took some east.Originally posted by Emar:Weren't all of the Porsche turret Tigers deployed on the west front?
also one of the scrape together Panzer units in 1945 found some Tiger II(p)s if I remember right.

Ep IV Replacements.
one of the best IMO, very action packed.
although the 251/22 didn't exist at the time of Market Garden IIRC. I still love the faux StuG. they did a good job on the mock-up.
What town where they storming with XXX corp?
Son was attacked by 107th Panzer Brigade from Aachen(Panther tanks and Jagdpanzer IVs or other Self-Propelled guns) against elements of the 101st and XXX Korp, but IIRC that was the 502nd asigned to take and hold the bridge at Son.
9th and 10th SS were at Nijmegen and Arnhem giving the 1st Airbourne and 82nd AB divisions grief.
I can't think of the rest of the KGs/Divisions the germans had along the route to Arnhem..eh.need to break out CloseCombat 2 again.
