  1. when I got type I Diabetes I stopped smoking cigars, quit liqour(I miss my vodka/tonics) but I still drink a dark bier(If I can get schwarzbier) with dinner, but I don't drink to get drunk, and take 81mg aspirins daily for the BP/heart..my BP is high but not dangerous...also working on giving up sugar...that's my vice...the hard one to kick. I still got axed on my health coverage, so I am paying for my stuff out of pocket..which hurts..and I can't get new health cause I am a Type I. I take care of myself, 150lbs, workout, walk 1-2mi a day and eat healthy..but I don't know I hate HMOs and the US Health system with all my angst, first for the way it treats the people and second for being such a second rate system in a 1st rate country. I am not a liberal..but I am a strong supporter of Universal Healthcare, or making the US healthcare more SERVICE and Less Profit, and it sucks I spent 3 years in Europe working for my firm, and dealt with the German and French healthcare systems(Pre-Diabetes) and now dealing with the US crap again it just makes me sad for those less well off than me that have to go through it.
  2. yep. FIAT, VW_AG and Toyaduh will become the next 3. and a better one IMO.
  3. I could live in the outback...many many years here in Floriduh has taught me the pleasures of nature. although I have to ask don't you seal your houses? or have 4 walls to a house..I can't think how something that big gets in..biggest I find are 3inches maybe..but those are rare in a blue moon thing...but I've had gators on the lawn, 4-6" rattlers around, bats in trees around the house, fireants, carpenter ants, pharioh ants, velvet ants, bullant(flightless wasp really), termites, bees, killer bees in my county, yellow jackets, hornets, skeeters, ticks, norwegian rats, black widows, banana spiders, more other kinds of spiders than I want to find out about, scorpions, and that's the short list...Add the Mexicans and the pest list is near complete. kiddin on the last bit
  4. 1st January 44 : ( Stabs-Regiment : 1 Bef. lang, 2 Bef. kurz and 1 SP 9 cm ( ital. ) II. Panzer-Abteilung : ( Stab : 2 Bef. lang and 1 Bef. kurz ) 5. / 26 : 6 Panzer III kurz and 14 Panzer IV lang 6. / 26 : 6 Panzer III kurz and 12 Panzer IV lang 7. / 26 : 4 Panzer IV kurz and 8 Panzer IV lang 8. / 26 : 7 Panzer IV kurz and 11 Panzer IV lang 1. Flamm.-Kompanie : 7 Flammpanzer III, 6 Stu. 7,5 ( ital. ) and 6 Stu. 10,5 ( ital. ) 2. Flamm.-Kompanie : 4 Flammpanzer III, 5 Stu. 7,5 ( ital. ) and 6 Stu. 10,5 ( ital. ) According to the Kriegsgliederung of the 26. Panzer-Division ( Anlage zu 26. Pz.Div. Ia. Nr. 14 / 44 g.Kdos. )
  5. Osprey's OOP Order of Battle series, VI, V Panzer armees and Southern Sector Books, they even have full fullout maps included, also in the series you can get the Allies side of the same three sectors(don't own those myself)
  6. still working on the 26.Pz stuff...just found a copy of concords Panzers in Italy which hopefull will be more helpful than the copy of Panzers in Italy and the balkans(although the photos are great) I found a referance to 26.Pz Reg in Osprey's Flammpanzers book, it's meantions the 7. Kp/II Abt/26.Pz Rgt assisting the 1. Flamm Kp..and having a strength of 5 panzers in the Zug that attacked with 1. Flamm, 4 Pz IV Lang and 1 Pz IV Kurz. now IIRC late war Zugs had 4 Pzs not five? or were supposed to have 5 but cause of shortages had 4? also would most of the Zugs be mixed like that? also i am assuming the 7.Kp to be II. Abteilung...I am correct that 26.Pz had only a single battalion in it's regiment? I've read somewhere that the I/4. Pz Regt(Panthers) was attached/connected to the 26.Pz Reg or Div, but I not sure how, nor have I found Panthers in the lists of equipment the Division had...If there was a connection can someone explain to me how it was? Now this is for my 1/35 Panzer III N, I found divisional insigna, both the late and early, I figure the rectangle with the circle inside would be correct for '43-44, but I am not sure on the numbers, what color(s) would they be and what style? Solid, outlined, stenciled? Also would a sturmpanzer III carry a certain tactical sign like a StuG or SPG or would it just be like a normal panzer of the division? Sorry about being a bother on this.
  7. UTube..has a bunch of WWII docs and music. including the old BBC battlefield series and the new series(Ie old France 1940 120mins long new Leningrad 120mins long) I can post some links if you would like.
  8. on a sidenote: between looking for maps/looking up units/and all the other work, I really do !appreciate! all the work the scenerio guys and mod guy do.
  9. what would be the "most" common M4 in July'44..I figure it's all L38s and maybe a very few 105s(M4..but prob M7 SPGs? but no 76mm(since the 76s were rare or uncommon up to Lorraine in the ETO and Italy was 2nd fiddle to the actions in France...also did the M8 HMCs stick around for close support like the Pz III(75)s did in the 26.Pz til later/end in/of the campaign? I have a few photos of M10s around Anzio in Feb?(Fischfang IIRC), but I can't find the TD Bat they are from, or well I haven't started to look yet. US units in Italy are a new field for me, as before I was working with British/Commonwealth and Heer/Luftwaffe formations-timelines.
  10. well Tuskegee with Fishburn(sp) was a 1/2 ass movie too..and just support the redtail myth of them being "crack" pilots. Yea they were good at busting ground targets, but sinking a destroyer and never losing a bomber on a escort mission are both a stretch of reality. I am taking my dad to see Spike's WWII joint sunday on 4$day..figured as bad as it is, it might still be better than the low-brow comedies and whatnot that hollywood also makes, And don't worry boys Hope is coming. Little Iron Men. http://www.littleironmen.com/ http://www.littleironmen.com/wmvtrailer.html The true story of Japanese-American 100th442ndengage in a brutal battle to save a trapped battalion of Allied soldiers in the face of prejudice and mistrust.
  11. Looking for in for the 1. and 6. Armoured Regiments, thier makeup and such. I'm looking for around the time of Anzio landing(1.22.44 i think is when 1. Arm landed), Fischfang and seitensprung and buffalo also for July 3rd, Rosignano-Salvay where the 1. Arm assisted the 34. Infantry (Red Bull) Division against the 19. Luftwaffe Sturm Division which itself was assisted by elements of the 26.Panzer...and ended with the 19. LW holding up the Americans for a week, but as the cost of the 19.LW(which was disbanded with some elements going to 20. Luftwaffe Sturm Division which also was in Italy and some going to the new 19. Volks(or Just) Grenadier Division in Northwestern Europe). Just orderd the Osprey Book on US Armour in North Africa and Italy 42-45..but I'm working on the Rosignano battle(s) for CMAK tonight and this weekend while inbetween working on a few model projects.
  12. I've been trying to find out how the 26.Pz deployed thier Sturmpanzer IIIs, I found they had a kompanie sized group of them as of Aug.43(16xPzIII 75) in 26.Pz Rgt, but I am not sure which of the Abt the Pz IIIs were in, or if they were in a independent company attached to the Rgt and not part of the battalions or if they were split between the two battalion equally. I am working on a group of CM battles in Italy involving the 26.Pz, so this is why this came up. But I am also working on Tamiya's new Pz III N, and I wanted to do something different than the 3 tanks offered in the kit. One last thing, in the OOB I have it says the 26.Pz had 17 Pz IV Kz(75L24), what model(s) would those be? F1s? or even older Pz IVs such as Ds and Es?
  13. I just realized today at CMAK doesn't have a Flammpz III, even though the 26.Pz had 16 and the 16. Pz had 7 in their To&Es as of Sept.43
  14. right now the controls on PC:Kharkov are give me fits after the years of Combat Mission. If I can get a campaign going with this system I am 100% going to "buy it now" as the ebay term goes.
  15. Well more, During the Bulge: 2. Panzer's 3. Regt/II Abt, 6.Komp How many tanks would be in the company? I came up with a full alotment, it would be 17? 2 in Company staff(guessing), and 3 platoons with 5 Tanks each. so 2+5+5+5...but at the time I don't think the Division would have 17 Pz IV in each company for the battalion in Dec.44 Any links to OT&E for the info?
  16. responded to my email. Did it go through ok? Thanks Dave

  19. what about 10.5cm LeFH, they were used as AT weapons when needed.
  20. pilots miss ID alot. Planes, ground objects. The KV II could have been a Kv I or it could have been a cow..who knows.
