  1. I think xwormwood is right.Rocko your talking about A small war.WW3 would be a HUGE conventional war(I don't even know how long it could be sustained because of the MASSIVE cost)at first but once one side started to loose it would be(imho)if you don't stop I am taking the whole world with me.It would be kinda fun to just firing all your W.M.D.s just to see what happens. If you got the first strike in(now I sound like some of the idiots that were given the task to see if it is possible to win a nuclear war).

  2. Rambo I was reading earlier where you say you cant loose with the Germans.Ill bet I know one player who can defeat you.If your German air attack is un-stopable as you say then whynot try winning with a different strategy?See if there are multiple ways you can win with Germany.I would think it might get a little boring just trying the samething over & over again?

As far as your overall posting go,I like them. You can get a little carried away as im sure we all have but hey im sure you mean no harm. You seem to like to tell it how it is.Imho there is nothing wrong with that.

  3. SeaMonkey what you say makes total sense but imho the A.A.upgrade for ground units should be seperate(Im guessing this would create a programing issue?).Heavy weapons for inf.included all aspects of their defensive and offensive capabilities against various ground targets.I would think you would need a seperate upgrade all together?Im also hoping this would include armoured units. They need it the most.

As far as the whole tac-bomber fighter-fighter idea(it is more realistic)but then you would get into if the fighter-bombers are attacked by enemy fighters do the fighter-bombers have to drop their bombs instantly or face total destruction(having a couple of 500 or 1000lb bombs under their belly would make them pretty helpless against a fighter attack).I guess you could program it so you had the option?

  4. Imho if fuel(oil)is added into the game and has the effct it really did then the Axis are going to be in VERY big trouble. The Allies GROSSLY outproduced them.Japan would be in the most trouble. The oil they did capture they couldnt get alot of the benefits because they hadnt near the shipping to move the oil back to Japan to refine it.They also didnt have near enough refinerys even if they did manage to have the tankers to move the oil.

  5. I got a couple more. Are we allowed to make it that when the Frenchie ships go crazy and start charging into the Italian ports which causes the Italians to take un-necessary losses we can tell the Italian ships not to fire?

Will we be allowed to place our embarking troop trans. in any adjacent tile thats allowed and not let the computer choose?Sometimes this can matter.

When engineers start to fortify a tile and they move for whatever reason will the computer keep track of what the engineers have done and allow them to continue where they left off?The work that they had started would still be there provided no enemy unit had attacked the tile in question.

  6. It also depends(imho)on what country you are refering to.There isnt much point investing Ind.tech with Italy,Japan,Britain. They have such a small Industrial base to begin with you dont really gain much.I will usually invest Ind.Prod.and Infra with the Americans and the Russians right away. They have the time and in a long battle it does make a difference(I know others will same different)As far as the other techs go it all depends on what weapons you want to use to try and win.Thats where you invest in.

Germany and Russia can benefit from investing in A.A.With Japan even maxed out those A.A.guns didnt seem to have much of an effect on the Ami.heavy bombers(ecpecially if the bombers are at level 5)

  7. Bo usually H vs H games the FOW is activated so is production delays and the weather.

As far as your second question goes thats entirely up to you and what your overall strategy is.Usually you will invest your tech to supprt your overall plans but that can also change, especially if the enemy does something you werenot expecting.

  8. My Wife really discourages me eating while im playing. We have already had to replace one keyboard because I spilt cottage cheese all over it.Before that I had spilt some orange juice and a bit of yogart on it.She was amazed it even functioned.Didnt hardly smell at all.

If the A-BOMB is in the game(which I think it should)then yes it has to be expensive and it also can only be built if the country in question has access to the resorces needed to build it.The tech.advance for it would refer more to the scientists learing how to build it and designing a delivery system. They would already know what they need.Aquiring what they need would be up to the countrys military to conquer the appropriate countries. It would also make the other side wonder what you are up to if you are conquering all the counrtries needed to make the Atom bomb.Could be fun.

  9. Thats the idea with the atom bombs. If a country is close to surrender then the''bomb''or two being dropped would just be enough to put them over the edge.If the Atomic bomb is dropped on a city then that cities usefullness is removed from the game for atleast a year.If you factor in overall destruction the bomb causes does that make sense? You could use it to wipeout an important city as far as a rail centre etc?

  10. I realise what you are saying Xwormwood but the fact that there were all these threats and none were carried out makes the use of poison gas that muchmore remote. There is no doubt that an Atomic bomb would be used by the side who built it.

You say Hitler didnt care about civilians and Rick Atkinsons book said Hitler may use poison gas if the war goes decisively against Germany. It did and Hitler didnt use any gas.If Hitler had an Atomic bomb there is no doubt he would have used it.Remember you can always wear a gas mask. There is NO defence against an Atomic bomb.

The Atomic Bomb should be available as an option.

  11. Xwormwood I was reading more about the German nerve gas program and the Germans truley believed we had ALOT more of it than they did.So even if the Allies dropped an atomic bomb or two on Germany that still doesnt change the fact that the Germans believed we had nerve gas and would use it.I cant see then by dropping atomic bombs on Germany would cause Hitler to use his nerve gas.We were already bombing alot of German cities to rubble.
