  1. I flew a mission lastnight, didn't expect to get 3 kills against human opponents. That resulted in in my set having total xp of 608, 8 points over the limit :-( Bad, very Bad. I might have one other set ready by Saturday - maybe. I am starting to think that deleting a set of pilots is the only way to go. That also is Bad, very Bad.

But at least now I have a couple of sets I wouldn't mind deleting if I had to ;):D

  2. Well, I just had a game game up on me in turn one, waiting for the AI to discard. Thus far I haven't had a hang up on altitude changes only discards. I'll try again, perhaps I started this game just before the server update?

  3. In a battle lastnight the enemy AI Wingman also fired 2 IMS2:D card at one of my pilots - luckily evaded both. I thought the Wingmen were supposed to only have 1 Destroyed card as well. Then the AI leader played an IMS2:D and ace combo to finish me off. I think my battle was with the Me-109k as well. I had read the posts on here that some thought the card was appearing too often - I didn't think so until after that battle.

Actually none of my kills came from demo - all are from full version. My old pilot "Tornado Tom" (with quotes) wouldn't work online when I got the full version. Brain said the quotation marks were blowing up the system :D I can't remember if Charlie existed then, but I know Mack didn't. Just to let you know

Hello Saint, interesting experience you had. I disagree with this part of your post. Even folks who have had the game for a long time usually have at least a few low level pilots. I know that I don't mind playing with a newbie (unless I find out they are a pirate), and I know several other "old-timers" that play with newbies as well. You should know that I play with/against rookies since I've played with you ;)

I also think a friends list is a good idea. I mentioned it several times this weekend while playing online (the first time on Saturday, when about 34 people were logged on!) I look for the community to continue to grow.

My best advice to a newbie (which I was not too terribly long ago- I've had the game about 2 months) is to dive right into online games, ask questions when you have them, and have FUN! If not for Sixxkiller, Mistura, and Stalin's Organist I would have given up on the game within the first week, because I had no clue what I was doing. I asked questions while playing and they answered them. In closing - the players are very helpful, and the Designer/Programmers are the most helpful you could find anywhere.

Is that such a bad thing? I don't think so. Just my opinion. Also, while I do not agree with lakespeed that Escort missions are hopeless, I do have to say that they are MUCH more challenging.
  7. I enjoyed playing against you earlier this weekend, Skuderian. We'll have to do it again sometime. It's nice that you have 300 kills. Congrats. Just letting you know that I have TWO pilots right behind you in the number of kills, and I think I am the only person to have THREE pilots (still active) with over 200 kills smile.gif

And Tom, I almost pissed my shorts with that one. :D Thank god I am old and have Depends on....

    That is hilarious!
  9. First, Stalin asked a very good question (for once ;) ) - is this a one day event? If so, are there breaks between battles? Secondly, these are NOT new pilots to be created, correct? Third, I need a partner :D Lastly, when you say points - you do mean points showing when you create an online game - not cumulative xp, right? I would also like to point out that there can be a LARGE point change for a set of pilots based on the aircraft they chose. Example: Leader & Wingman in Hurr II - total points=580. Same pilots in Spit V - total points=472. I assume that means this particular set of pilots could fly a Spit V and buy several cards as long as total points did not exceed 600. Is my assumption correct?

You'll be getting a whole set of aircraft all in one shot, and as Sixxkiller mentioned, there is a fair amount of work that goes into each aircraft.

My only request is that you make them downloadable rather than the only choice being a CD shipped via mail. :D Yes, we are always wanting something.
