  1. Flew in from Miami Beach BOAC

Didn't get to bed last night

On the way the paper bag was on my knee

Man, I had a dreadful flight

    I'm back in the USSR

You don't know how lucky you are, boy

    Back in the USSR, yeah

Been away so long I hardly knew the place

Gee, it's good to be back home

Leave it till tomorrow to unpack my case

    Honey disconnect the phone

    I'm back in the USSR

You don't know how lucky you are, boy

    Back in the US

    Back in the US

    Back in the USSR

Well the Ukraine girls really knock me out

    They leave the West behind

And Moscow girls make me sing and shout

That Georgia's always on my my my my my my my my my mind

    Oh, come on

Hu hey hu, hey, ah, yeah

    Yeah, yeah, yeah

    I'm back in the USSR

You don't know how lucky you are, boys

    Back in the USSR

Well the Ukraine girls really knock me out

    They leave the West behind

And Moscow girls make me sing and shout

That Georgia's always on my my my my my my my my my mind

Oh, show me round your snow peaked mountains way down south

Take me to your daddy's farm

Let me hear your balalaika's ringing out

Come and keep your comrade warm

    I'm back in the USSR

Hey, you don't know how lucky you are, boy

    Back in the USSR

Oh, let me tell you honey

  2. Hister, fmhpov it is not a matter of history....for me it is just a "it doesn't make sense" feeling...sure when you are moving from one area to another, without expecting any combat, any combatant will carry whatever at soulder height. But when entering combat zone, where you are expected to run, jump and hit the dirt and again and so on and on, you will get rid of any "not fully fix" cargo moving and bumping at your back, even if it is as light as the part of your tent...having weights hanging at waist height is not as unconfortable (again fmhpov)...

I think that is why i could not play US infantry and get myself inmersed... just cause of the "square school books carrier" back pack some GIs carried....just seeing that and i start to shake my head and feel it does not make sense...

I hope that some day Rambler could give us another "that is right" feeling mod

  3. Dear Mr Battlefront,

will we be able to create a campaing about John Frost epic defense at the bridge?...i.e. without the magical "damaged buildings" reconstruction and "destroyed vehicles" removal...I'm almost certain that you know what i mean.

is this feature expected to arrive to the CM engine? (..lucky me didn't write "return"...)...I can't imagine an Arhem bridge or LZ defensive campaing or even bulge's Bastogne ones.

    Thank you in advance.

  4. Gents, reading your explanations given here for the NO TO TANK RIDE BY NOW, i could clearly identify two kinds of, as follows:

A)nonsense...unless you think that riding inside a truck in a hot combat area is much safer...

B)technical compromise...which is clear and understandable

to those of you that missed it...in ww2, even US mech infantry (when dealing with bad terrain and therefore could not pace with the panks) dismounted their h/t, mount the back of the tanks, and rode to hot ACTION areas with them

bear also in mind that in CMBN the order to when a truck, halftrack or car has to be mounted or dismounted is given based on your wisdown as uber commander

  5. btw...Mr Battlefront...when will we get the flavour object that it is so clearly shown in the manual but it is completly missing in the game? (yes, the civilian scrapped truck) this will be in a patch, an upgrade or in a module...and the upgraded king tiger model?

  6. ... If you purchase an Upgrade 2.0 for Normandy you won't suddenly have access to Eastern Front units or terrain from Italy or whatever. The Families remain distinct and separated. However...

But... will be any posibility that I could import independet units (family specifics) as add-ons (you sell i pay) to another family... or something similar (i do not mean ww2 to modern, but some italian things would be nice in NW Europe or East Front or back and forward ... p.e.- germans are well knon for their variety on transpots... and i´d like to have the CMFI german trucks, pz III, renaults in CMBN and viceversa.

    NOTE i'd said independent units

  7. I had enjoyed your "no zeltbahn" mod so much while playing as german

Being my self in the mood of playing as usa now, I have the feeling of.. well.. I feel somehow as if my boys are going to school.

So i wonder if...would it be possible to get a mood to remove the backpacks from my boys? but only the square one, as the other doesn't bring me the strange feeling and also provides the "someboys yes, someboys no" variety

(I suppose it would be more dificult due to other elements could appear attached to them, p.e.- knife, but if necessary i will not miss it)

  8. fmhpov, its going to be some inexplicable error not to include them. (with also some sas and commandos it will be great)

their organization and peculiarities are not something of just a mod...

Also, to add the WWII version of today's IEDs is also a must (blow the bridge while the tiger goes throught)(being it some kind of "hollywood" will not make it less fun)

By the way, most of it is already coded, so...just a little effort, i guess, except for visuals.

and of top of it, a good way of introducing civil cars and trucks (Mr Battlefront, where is my "flavour object junk number 8"?).
