  1. Wow, that's a long thread for my video :)

To clarify one thing, it's not a review: I always post an impressions video while I am playing each new game I review, and in this case the video took an overly negative tone. The reason for this is that I felt most people who were going to watch the video were familiar with the CMx2 games (since they have been around for five years) and the general features, so I spent most of the time criticizing things I felt could/should have been improved since the inception of the new game engine in 2007; if I were to go back and re-record, I would spend more time highlighting the good aspects of the game (of which there are many) to balance out the criticism. As I will in my full written review.

  2. Rejected. The developers had to "clean" them up: adding more varied terrain, flavor objects, etc. So they just didn't have time to do all of that for each one of them and I didn't feel like (or have time to) doing it either. They all work and can be played from either side. The basics are there (units, different objectives, multiple AI plans), just not the flair.

  3. Others have said that removing the optimizer AND changing the affinity does the complete trick.

Use Task Manager (ctrl+at+delete), go to the processes tab, right click on CM Shock Force.exe, select Set Affinity... and only have one of the two checked. Oh, and you can only change the affinity while the game is running.
