  1. That is a big deal if true. Even more so if it frees up Ukrainian Units to help other places.
  2. Consistent with the Russians current performance, Yes? They are making these suicidal, uncoordinated little attacks around Kyiv because command is in a blind panic.
  3. Not sure if it is significant, but it is certainly interesting.
  4. That is where they are now. When it really gets muddy it will be the most pitiful retreat since Napoleon fled Moscow starving. And if they keep killing Ukrainian children a lot of them won't enjoy it very much.. The smart ones are already departing or surrendering.
  5. They don't discuss his truck score, but it must be substantial. Also if this is a real Russian soldier his moment to desert was about an hour ago.
  6. Next game is going to have to be the Chinese. Russian military credibility died whimpering in a Ukrainian bog.
  7. Another truly fantastic thread from the truck and tire guy. Short version world historic military fiasco.
  8. I am surprised at the apparently AWFUL quality of the Russian planning and leadership. They have a large number of examples of why this attack at this time of year was an poor idea. Seems even minimum competency would be to do this as soon as the ground froze for winter, or wait for May. There is a report That Xi asked Putin to put it off past the Olympics. Having everyone spend that month freezing, drinking, and selling their fuel to drink more may have doomed the entire enterprise
  9. Including data centers, just tell all of it to melt.
  10. Microsoft needs to wipe every hard drive in Russia.
  11. This is quite bit more truth telling than I would expect. Unless cracks are starting to show.
  12. Elon has some screws that need their torque adjusted, at a minimum. SpaceEx though is a thing of beauty almost beyond compare. That side by side landing is the kind of thing we OUGHT to be working on.
  13. Until they face someone we are supplying with top grade stuff, as fast as it can be shoved out of warehouses.
  14. The development of a next generation APS, needs to take our own best missiles into account, as as reasonable assumptions about Russian development. And there is no higher priority for land forces development. There is just no point in deploying tanks without it.
  15. The only confirmation you need that Javelins work is that the Russians are not in Kyiv.
  16. The only confirmation you need that Javelins work is that the Russians are not in Kyiv.
  17. Do we even know if they run? After the failing tire debacle i am not making any assumptions.
  18. Well, they do now. But they don't have any money anymore. This war has proven that without good APS tanks are not worth the logistics tail to keep them running. It is a damed good thing Putin is not a CMBS fan. He could have learned this lesson for $50, instead of several trillion.
  19. Yes, This! how long can the Russian forces around Kyiv maintain any sort of combat anything when the road behind them is an insoluble traffic jam.
  20. I COMEPLETELY understand your desire to watch them all die in burning vehicles. But the way this end with some of Ukraine still standing is to encourage mass surrenders. The Ukrainian command structure seems to understand this. Mass surrenders/desertions are also the most destabilizing thing for the Russian Government. There is just no way to spin it.
  21. I am sure they are trying as hard as they can, but there are lot of logistics involved in taking something over like that. Most oof it has some sort of problem, even if it doesn't you have get somebody out there to drive it, and have a safe path back for something that is not exactly sneaking thru the trees. A LOT of situational complications.
  22. Military failure on an incomprehensible world historic scale.
  23. The American response about what we won't sell the the Ukrainians should be " Well, it is going to take six months to get them up to speed on their news submarines, but other wise they have a blank check."
