  1. So why bother buying stuff from Kalypso when you can get the real-McCoy from BF directly...?
  2. I am on an iMac and I use Omega ATI drivers. I have some oddities, such as texture streaks, that maybe textured like the sky, going across the map. Sometimes also streaks extending from trees, etc. That's quite annoying, I have to admit...
  3. Well, considering that the late variants of Pz.IV, Jagdpanzer IV and Panther all have Zimmerit in ToW, the Tiger should have it as well. Not so much for the sake of the gameplay, but as "eye-candy". ToW's models alerady look incredible - but since the game tries to adjust the available hardware throughout the war, a late Tiger with Zimmerit would be nice... and appropriate
  4. Hi all, considering the Tiger entered service in 1943 and first saw combat in Tunesia, it was equiped with Feiffel air filters. Later, those filters were removed from existing Tigers and tanks built from that point on didn't have them anymore. Question: Does ToW reflect those changes? So far I only saw Tigers with the Feiffel filters on screenshots. Same concept applies to Zimmerit: I haven't seen screenies that show Tigers with Zimmerit coating... Just curious... Cheers, Rainer
  5. Lol.. yes.. whole KG Rainer tot. Only two men left to tell the tale...hehe Guess I need to brush up on tactics, eh?
  6. I finished that mission last night after spending one evening prior to that on it. Well, I made it with only two of my men surviving. I lost everything and everyone else. At the end, the scary part was that, even though they were no longer able to use their main guns, two heavy French tanks in the North of the map still had their crew inside them and had to be convinced otherwise. One of them actually still hat a working coax MG, which luckily proved useless against my men crawling towards the tank. Since my two men only had their rifle, and MG34 respectively, they shot each tank until finally the crews jumped out. Luckily, crews bailing are rather panicky, they could be dispatched easily. What made this whole final bit somewhat tedious was the fact that one of my men didn't like the close proximity to the disabled tanks and kept panicking, running off for a while, then coming back, running off, coming back. But in the end, I finished the mission successfully.
  7. Playing it on a new iMac. Works good so far...
  8. Well, I thought about getting TOW as well.. but that thought lasted about one second. .... Then I whooped out my credit card and bought it. Guess my main reason to finally give it a try was the "uber patch". I mean - if a company puts in the effort to produce a 1.2 Gigabyte patch, that company is well worth supporting... no?
