I think Hans has a bunch of small battles which you can find at the scenario depot under the title SB (i.e., SB A Simple Attack). Another designer whose small battles I enjoy is AL (the Berlin one is a blast).

Downloading at this moment, thanks.

Do a search on here for ETO conversion. There's a whole conversion pack for CMAK and the rest you can get playing around at CMMODS. IMO CMAK is a better game because of the enchanced features it offers. Covered arcs specific to vehicles and infantry, better infantry model, realistic MG effectiveness, better armor model, better looking graphics and dust added are some of things that make it better.Originally posted by Der Alte Fritz:For a full Normandy mod of CMAK look in CMMods for CMAK-ETO mods set
cheers
However, the infantry is more brittle in CMBB and CMAK, and has to be husbanded far more which, for some, takes away some of the game's fun factor. An other factor to consider is a fully modded CMBO looks almost as good as a fully modded CMAK (check as the Reisberg scenario in both).

Just replaced mine last night. Those look great, thanks.

You need a patch that isn't supported by Battlefront. Google is your friend.

Backup and transfer using either DVD or USB memory stick (2 gigger is pretty cheap and very useful).Originally posted by MikeyD:After that I'll figure out how to transfer 2-3 gigs of mods from my old machine to the new

Game is $38 at Amazon.

I use CMMOS for some of my CMBB mods but, the majority, I installed using McMMM. Another positive for McMMM is it is the only one that works with CMAK. Laters.

Do roadblocks provide any cover or concealment? I don't believe they do but wanted to make sure.

http://www.cmmods.com/web/CMMods.nsf have a bunch of scenarios under the heading salvaged scenarios and is also the best place to find mods.
Can also pick up some hard to find mods at http://www.combatmission.com/mods/newmods.html
A few more excellent sites for scenarios:

I tried the link for it at the site and it works fine.Originally posted by wolf66:I need the Seelow Heights Battle Pack Part 1, but I can't load it ??
Anyone have this already ?

Just found a link to the whole shabang. A Bridgehead too Far is in the Barbarossa Pack 1.
-
Heinrich, it's an old CSDT title that I got from the salvaged scenarios at CMMODS. There is a series of them (24 I believe) and, so far, I've just played the first 2: B1, A Buffalo and B2, A Bridgehead too Far. Scenario Depot and The Proving Grounds only have a couple of CSDT titles that I could find.
-
Go to the folder where CMBB was installed and delete the preferences file (****prefs). Then restart the game and it should ask for your screen resolution preference.
-
Anyone played a Bridgehead too Far as the Germans? If so, how did you do? I could only manage a draw against the AI after 3 attempts. Just for balance and sanity, I played it as the Russians and gave the AI a +2 experience bonus and won easily.

That's a fantastic deal. So good in fact, I ordered it about 3 months ago.Originally posted by BeauCoupDinkyDau:No, sir. The CM Anthology from CDV seems to omit this travesty and provides the correct info.
You can grab it from Amazon these days for a mere $15.

I think those nVidia 7600 cards are about $70 at newegg and, I agree, XP is the way to go for now.

A little late to answer, but have you tried updating the driver?

I don't think the problem is necessarily with Vista but rather with the 8xxx series nvidia cards. Check out the posts in the CM1 technical forum for specifics. 8xxx cards also seem to have the most compatability issues with CMSF.Originally posted by slysniper:Careful, in one of these threads, Steve from Battlefront has mentioned that on a few new machines they are having problems with the old games running with Vista, I cannot be of anymore help but I remember its out there.
East Front Maps?
in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Posted
I finished reading Erickson's The Road to Stalingrad and am trying to slog through The Road to Berlin but the lack of maps in the paperback edition is killing me. Does anyone know of website or book that could fill this void?
