Bought a few games from battlefront including SC2 however I am thinking of going back to this classic game. I lost my CDs (yes I had 2 versions of this game, the original battlefront and the retail cdv and both are gone) so I am thinking of buying the download version. However i remeber there was an interface mod that changed the title screen and various other buttons. I think it used to be hosted on this site http://www.ww2n.com/schq which has been changed and no more download links. The mod had an issue with the tcpip graphic button you had to leave the original one there to have it work. I loved the look of that mod for the interface. Does anybody still have it ? Maybe they can point me where it is at or where I can download it again? I searched everywhere. Thanks

Thanks for the email, that worked, the game updates now.

The first time I installed the game, I pulled the CD out before I realized the game finished installing. Then knowing I did that, I uninstalled the game and installed it completely the second time. I have just now uninstalled it again, and reinstalled it completely for the third time and still same exact issues. I will email you now

Yes you hit the nail on the head. I installed the game and run the updater and it updated me to 0.9.93. It downloaded quite a bunch of files. Then I ran the game and it acts like a demo game. No I did not have the demo version installed on this PC at all. It is a fresh new PC as I just bought it. I am stuck now all I can do is play multiplayer as demo to servers that have 0.9.93 installed otherwise I can't do much, no singleplayer either. I do not have a Haven.Scenario file under data directory. I have other scenario files but not this one. Hope this helps

I am on Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. It is a new PC I just bought it. I tried the demo on my old PC. So I never had the demo in this new PC. I just installed the purchased full version today.

Hi guys - just bought this game a few days ago and I installed it today, licensed the game with the key that worked fine. I then ran game updater it updated a whole bunch of files however it still thinks it is a demo I guess. I can not run standalone games and my version is at 0.9.93 well below 1.0. When I try to run updater again it doesn't find anything. What am I doing wrong? I can email battlefront my purchase receipt and key if needed. Thanks

Duh just slap me silly sorry guys should of know better. *My* version was old all is well now after doing a game update.

Will there be a demo released before June 1st so I can take advantage of the pre-order and CD option before June 1st. Yes I know there is the multiplayer test however it is useless as you can't play the game as it finds only 2 servers and those servers have an old version of the game and it wont connect with the new multiplayer demo. So that pretty much hinders the multiplayer demo usless.

any change of ever adding it in a patch? At any rate this is still a very fine game thanks

I know a while back when the game was still in development it was mentioned that this game can run in full screen or windowed mode as well. Any idea's how to get it to run in a window mode? Thanks

Yes timeouts seem to be very bad now, I mean 0% and a minute or so later timeout. The most I got it to was 2% and timeout at really slow speeds so the bandwidth must be saturated.

I pre-ordered this fine game and am anxiously waiting for both the download and the CD w/manual to show up at my door. However my question to Battlefront is: With the download edition or CD that requires Activiation as I seen some posts here that there is a need for activation over the Internet to play the game the first time. Not sure if this applies to download edition only or both the CD. At any rate with this activiation scheme will I be able to install the game on my desktop and laptop? I would like to play this game where I am at. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Will there be a demo released same time pre-orders start? or will the demo come out after the release of the game?

Forgot to mention the reason being is this game for some reason browses to the website via port 8080 to connect and that is the reason you may be getting server not found especially if you can browse the internet fine but can't connect.

IF you have a DSL/Cable router or some kind of firewall make sure you allow port 8080 to go out. I know some firewalls do not allow 8080 by default to go out.

Hi Moon - Thanks for info, you mentioned in a previous post that you can modify the topo of the landscape like you did for your desert landscape but it requires editing a few text files? Can you post a screenshot or info of the contents of one of those text files? I want to see how easy or hard it will be? I assume the demo will have these text files for the map it includes? Also do you know the eta on the demo? Thanks

thanks for the info, I thought there was 18 or so from the main game page? How is the editor included is pretty good just asking to see if there is the ability to create your scenarios? I cant wait for the demo to try it out now.

Can somebody who has this game installed please post a screenshot of the \BMP folder 600 - 700.bmp files I want to make sure I they are all there if it there is files from 600..601..602. etc all the way to 700? thanks so much
