[large h2h scenarios ?]

Hi everyone,

I am hoping to get a pbem game going. Previously I played the otherwise excellent 'Hamid's Attack on Hill 412 v1.1' but we gave up after about 25 minutes because as Blue I had captured nearly all the objectives easily and the didn't seem a fair fight for Red. Is 'Battlegroup Ivanov' suitable for h2h and which other large scenarios would punters recommend?

Hi comrades,

I am trying my hand at scenario creation. Two questions.

1. Can anyone suggest a good source of free maps with topography that would be a suitable scale for converting into CMx2 maps.

2. When I play the game on defense I keep a mobile reserve to attack the main enemy axis of advance, preferably on the flank, once it has been identified How does one program the defending AI to do the something similar?

Great so far HintJ many thanks for your good work. My feedback.

1. Will you extend it to all the mods in CMSF ? eg. the shilka unit

2. Can you adjust the contrast or something to make the difference between unlit and lit icons greater as I find them hard to distinguish in the day ( I have not tried night yet)?

3. Shall interested parties extend a modest contribution to the cost of CMBN so you can work your magic on it ? ;-)

On a slightly different tack, why don't Battlefront allow the CMx2 game engine to be modded 'under the hood' so to speak. Remember the awesome mods for Close Combat et al? I think they said something about stopping cheats before but isn't that cutting off ones' nose to spite ones' face?

It is a ladder for several wargames with load of bells and whistles added. A great one for stat junkies ;-)

[Looking for CMSF PBEM Opponant]

I always seek out George MC's scenarios. They are excellent for pbem imho. A particular favourite is 'UK Battlegroup Attacks'. Huge map with lots of armoured duels or for a small urban mount scenario 'UK Vehicle Recovery' with blue surrounded on all sides. Have Fun!

Just got a total victory playing red pbem in the above scenario (thanks George McEwan).

Now my opponent and I have swapped sides I am unsure how to protect my stranded tanks from omnidirectional rpg attacks with few infantry to defend them?

Any ideas?
