  1. hey,

this could seem stupid 2 some, but could some1 please enlighten me, as to how do u move mines in the scenarios u are granted to place them in setup phase?

i see theres a "move" selection in the menu 4 the mine it self, but i still cant move the mines at all when i try too !?

im guessing ther is something veeery basic that i haved missed ??? :F

    helps! :D

  2. i ive just done "trouble in herat " vet diff -as Muj defence, big urban map, it was my first real taste of the game, i must say it was unreal..

Gritty urban guerilla combat on my behalf, i slaughtered red inf in the streets.. >:D

Laying ambush's on 4th floor of a building with RPG's, Snipers on the 5th, then retreat downstairs & outside with mg cover, sprinting through the back alleys, then melting back in to the streets is quality gaming goodness at its BEST.

  3. Ok update, i only had hardcore graphic problems due to launching CMA through steam, this was an attempt at advertising it to my freinds so they would see me playing it & say " hey man, whats combat mission afghanistan?".. anyway, well im happy ive started this interesting debate with the post..

i havent had a alot of experience with CM series apart from playing CMBO 6 years ago and played a little bit of CMSF, CMBO blew my mind at the possiblities of strat games as i have always loved RTS/stratergy games.. however, after falling in love with TOW2 kursk in recent times, its defenetley hard to be impressed by anything else, that game has unreal emmersion, u feel like u are in a war movie set in the ost front.

Now i have only played about 1 hr of CMA and it seems incredible but like some the others above have said, considering the size of the maps " under the hood " the graphics are still very primative, the camera VERY sluggish(so hard to get nice close inf shots), but yet still an awesome game none the less... i would like some of you to give me an oppinion on my next rambling (bearing in mind what i said b 4 about only having played 2 CM games) Now, Having played both TOW2 games and CM

can anyone tell me if they feel there is really any much difference at all in the gameplay exp, in terms of depth? by this i mean the way CM plays, does it seem a more "wholesome" experience with the outcome of events, the AI behaviour, etc everything overall compared with TOW(2)?.. what im getting at is, does it seem to you guys that CM games has that much more "under the hood" than TOW games, that they really have to sacrifice the graphics to such a dramatic extent, for a game experience that stands out alot more from TOW games? i know CM games are defenetley more realistic on the inf lvl in terms of comms etc but is the graphical sacrifice worthy in the long run ?

ps - i cant beleive that screen shot is of CMBO ! amazing ! i thought it was CM:N for sure at 1st :P

  4. how about u host n ill join on u ? - im GMT +10:00 or if u can tell me what im doing wrong maybe ?? eg i put my IP address in the pre game options in the host feild but i still received the error upon creating the server...? maybe ill try local & see how bad the ping is if someone joins me from another country... im desperate to play as u may b able to tell :P

  5. i couldnt agree more redjac,

im jus very curious to know how much more content etc will be put in in2 tow2:kursk, its very good but there sstill so much more stuff it needs, bigger maps, buildings with multiple storys etc but maybe this is something that we, realistically need to wait 4 processors to become more powerfull

  6. hello,

i was wondering, if inf units have higher XP lvls from previous battles, than their freshly issued squad/platoon leaders, does this have any impact on them(new officers) ? that are replacements for the killed officers ?

also, i was thinking maybe some more items for the infantry would be good 2 see :)

e.g like the Captains binoculars as a pickup item & imagine maybe making ur own molotovs with old empty bottles from houses and the petrol from the garage! now that would be cool :D, bayonets ? snow maps!!

the possibilities r almost endless :P

ps ..this is the best game i have ever played - LOVE IT ! <3

  7. well in the way of units(inf) id love to see medics & flamethrowers + nkvd & SS :D

& a feature so that its possible to turn off vehicle engines thus not giving away the position of your camo'd SPG via sound contact 4 example -

    infantry ambush - - -

it also seems that when i choose ambush mode 4 inf in buildings they tend to run outside and take cover near or bhind bushes where 4 the situation they have encountered generally it would b better if they stayed in the house they occupied instead of leaving good cover - but im guessing maybe its also because they cant get a good enough angle on the enemy from a window perspective ? i am still 2 do a lil trial & error on the topic however ...

  8. hello,
