I did update to 0.9.90.
-
I sense the Dark Hand of Rove in this.
No foreigners are allowed to play DT because of national security reasons.
-
Still nothing. I can't see any servers.
In the Account-tab, are you supposed to log on or something ? I'm only able to type in my name and password, but there's no button to log on or anything. Just the button to register a new account.
-
Now there's an inspired nick-name if there ever was one :
Please welcome our newest member, #19679....

I checked the settings in my firewall program. DT is allowed access into the internet.
But it still doesn't work. Can't see any servers at all.
-
Even after updating to 0.9.45 version.
In the network screen, I try refreshing the list, but no servers are found.
What's the problem ? I'd really like to try out the game !

Tsk tsk.

Pathetic. Even by YOUR standards.

Is this the scenario we are going to play?Originally posted by Shandorf:
quote:
Originally posted by Abbott:
I have a new, well semi-new, scenario available for you Steelers fans! Following is the General Briefing included in the file.
__
Title: Hello MasterGoodale
Type: Meeting Engagement
Date: August 1941
Location: Fictional
Weather: Dry, warm
Terrain: Village, rolling hills
Turns: 30+
Author: Abbott
This battle is a fictional meeting engagement set in late 1941 where we find a German mechanized Battle Group trying to wrest control of one of the few paved highways to be found in Russia from a Russian infantry command with tank support. The paved road winds it way thru a small village and sets the scene for a small (app. 1,500 point) Meeting Engagement.
The battle grew from a challenge the missing MasterGoodale issued to all comers when he had no idea how to play Combat Mission. Thus the infamous Cheery Waffle Challenge thread was born!
MasterGoodale claimed that he could defeat any comers with his superior knowledge of tactics and by chucking massive amounts of TnT at any and all comers. He needed NO Combat Mission experience to win because of his superior tactical knowledge. Forum Member ParaBellum being an experienced CM player accepted the challenge and I created the scenario for them to play.
Being the more experienced player ParaBellum had to confront MasterGoodale’s heavy Russian armor units and an AAR of the historic (cough) battle may be found here at Teddy Windsor’s home page.
The AAR is based on the original battle and the scenario was designed to be played by an experienced player verse a non-experienced player. This new file has had the OOB and terrain modified to provide a balanced scenario for both parties and includes briefings the original file did not.
The battle can be found at my Webpage linked from my sig. Enjoy!
May I ask who is suppose to be the un-experienced player?

Hope you all perish of the avian flu, and your souls will suffer for eternity and beyond in the hell that is the Penguin thread.

You do.
Now get back to it ASAP !

They shout with anger and pain.Originally posted by no_one:Well,I wouldn't say that.Based on my game versus SirGay,if you pump enough lead,TNT,or fire into some Finns, they will squeal all high pitched just like little girls.Hehehehe >:-p
Beware. A wounded Finn is twice as much dangerous.

Mostly we do, because Finnish doen't quite have the same "ups and downs" in pitch as English has. We have to learn it while we're studying English. Neither Mika nor Kimi have mastered it, methinks.Originally posted by PseudoSimonds:J.J. Lehto? Why he made it all the way to F1. Not as good as those other annoying Finns, Mika and Kimi, but not horrible.
BTW, do all Finns speak in monotone?
Frankly, I'm especially embarrassed by the way Kimi gives presentations and interviews in English. He should get a few lessons in presentation. He looks and sounds ridiculous.
The maggot.

I can only hope that the hordes of whiners will now be well and truly silenced...

This is way cool.
I can't figure out which one bit is the most impressive, the campaign, the multi-multiplayer, the special fog of war system, the fact that you use different forms of communication with differing time delays...
It's all good. Can't wait for this one.
Cheers
PS. Can I order mine already ?

ANGRY OUT LOUD !!! :mad:Originally posted by J. J.:1) Maggots need access through an open wound. (like Prince Eugen, mainly)
There's a racing driver in Finland whose nick-name used to be J.J. He was a complete failure, of course. I expect you to fall short of even his standards.
I'm back. I too have been lurking a bit, but I'm back now. I'm OK in my new flat, I've got the internet and all. I'm now hunting for a day-time job, as my thirst for money isn't met by having only one, measly night-time occupation. I'll be having an interview today. I've decided that the job is mine. Oh yes.
No turns out yet, but I'll try and send some over the weekend.
An awful lot has happened since I last was here. I'm not hugely impressed by the setting of CM:SF, but I probably will be pleasantly surprised with the game anyway.
I'm also going to be buying CMC when it comes out. Every Waffler should collect the whole series.
-
I'm off-duty now, my job contract ended last week. I'll be moving to the new apartment on Friday. I don't know when I'll be getting my internet connection there, so turns will be further delayed.
It seems there are no news at all but bad news.

While I'm away, if any penguin should happen to get lost and wander around in here, do me a favour and tell it to SOD OFF for me, will you ?
Thanks.

AHA HA HA HA HA HA !!!Originally posted by mike_the_wino2:Ooofff, no turns out this weekend as I spent it drinking heavily with lots of attractive, young women.
Too bad they were lesbians.... ....actually my chances of scoring prolly would have been the same with a bunch of straight gals.
That's a damn shame, though, not scoring.
For my own part though, I think my chances have increased lately.
Also, I've found myself a new flat in a better town. And before you say it, I'm NOT going to emigrate.
Because of these two factors, my turn-sending rate is almost as bad as _Axe_'s. But I'll try to chuck some hot TNT this weekend.
Maggots.

Hokey, LES GROGNARDS is the second worst title then.

For my own part, I'm hunting a new apartment from a different town.Originally posted by Dave H:Where have all the Cheery Waffles (and lost penguins) gone?
My apologies for the delay in sending turns, and for having a life outside of CM. Something you maggots are not familiar with.
Is it just me, or is this a very strong contender for the famous WORST TITLE OF THE YEAR -award ? :mad:Les Grognards.

I see Poo Doggey's gone nowhere, eventhough I wished and hoped he would.
As a result, no turns today.
