    i dont really think a norwegan operation is a mistake

    cuz not only does it give u a couple mines and xtra mpps, and of course combat experience as any operation does, but -

    1. it helps to anchor ur northern flank as germany

    2. it helps anchor ur northern flank as britain

    3. it gives u bomber and fighter bases against denmarkl and germany

    4. it gives u uboat and bomber bases againts britain

    5. it gives u sum line of sight intelligence of northern britain

    6. its a good base for a diversionary invasion or northern britain

    7. it gives u a base for a main invasion of britain

    as for turkey, ive done an invvasion of turkey as the axis

    my goals were -

    1. gain control of constantinople/istanbul

    2. gain control of the bopsporus and access to the black sea

    3. use it as a base for an invasion of the caucasus, which during 1 of my campaigns in russia, was INSTRUMENTAL in greatly shortening the russian campaign, as -

    1. it forced the red army to split its forces and weaken its frontline

    2. i was able to capture a large part of russian oil production, and mpp production

    ;)

    or a sweden operation, cuz it gives u extra mpps, and bomber bases for northern russia

    as for the baleirac islands, however theyre spelled i cant rmember -

    Palma (old Spanish name Palma de Mallorca) is the major city and port in the island of Majorca (in Catalan: Mallorca) and capital city of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands in Spain. It is situated on the south coast of the island on the Bay of Palma. As of the 2003 census, the population of the city of Palma proper was 367,277, and the population of the entire urban area was estimated to be 462,010, ranking as the 12th-largest urban area of Spain. Almost half of the total population of Majorca live in Palma.

    Historically, the city and island have been regularly invaded. The city prospered most greatly when it was the capital of the Kingdom of Majorca, a part of the Aragonese Crown, in the 13th and 14th centuries. Many of the most noted historic buildings in the city date from this period and show the characteristic Gothic style, notably the cathedral (built from 1230 to 1600) and the mixed Moorish-Spanish style of the Palau de l'Almudaina.

    The archipelago of Cabrera, though widely separated from Palma proper, is administratively considered part of the municipality.

    so perhaps majorca should have a port?

    Reunification of france

    i dont know if this has been discussed before, and i didnt see it wen i looked for it so here goes

    as we all know wen france goes under its divided into occupied and vichy france

    i think that if and wen u invade vichy france, and take marseilles, the vichy government should surrender, and france should be reunified, and all the colonies should all immeadiately, regardless of whos occupying them, be rreturned to french control

    and if i rmember right, and im not sure, the capital of vichy france was not Marseilles, but the cioty of Vichy, whcih of course bcame the govt name

    any thoughts>?

    i just mean ports for -

    France -

    Le Havre- NE of cherbourg i believe

    Cherbourg- west of the normandy landing beaches

    maybe Calais

    Sicily -

    Messina

    maybe Syracuse

    Sardinia -

    at least 1 port, ill have to do research

    corsica -

    at l;east 1 port

    crete -

    at l;east 1 port

    cyprus

    -at least 1 port

    azores maybe?

    so ya, theres a few ports

    i think that sardinia WAS invaded

    if i remember right ill have to do sum research

    it was sumtime before or after the sicily invasion

    Q-ships and Merchant Raiders and representation of merchant ships

    Q-Ships- these ships were special merchant ships armed to suprise and defeat uboats wen they were on the surface, and they had success with this

    will they be represented?

    Merchant Raiders - these infamous ships, such as the Penguin, Comet, and the very well known Atlantis, had quite a few successes

    1 of them, i believe it was Cormorant, sank the Australian Heavy Cruiser HMAS Australia!

    any thoughts on these?

    Representation of Merchant Ships -

    we all know the merchasnts are there, plying their trade, but, where are the ships? we cant see them tongue.gif

    perhaps u should have to "build" a convoy and set it out with escorts within the convoy?

    and they can be tracked and attacked?

    any thoughtsx on any of this?

    was CRUCIAL in WW2

    this HAS been represented, but we all know it wasnt really represented in its full scope

    IE, surface warships had no effect even wen in the middle of the convoy lanes

    and no matter how many uboats u had in the atlantic, the merchant(MPP) losses could only go to to 40 MPP per turn

    tho this is quite a drain and can severely hurt britain in the game wen combined with bombing

    but i think it should be expanded

    the more uboats and the better they are, the more losses shoudl go up

    i thnik that perhaps it should be represented in merchant tonnage, and not MPPs, but i have not yet thot of how this could be done

    and wat about attacking industry even wen there are units in the same tiles and mine tiles?
