  1. When the game came out I thought it was awful and couldn't believe that you'd thrown away a perfectly good system. After the patches and particularly after the British module I now think this is the best game I've ever played. Well done Battlefront!
  2. I've been playing the British Module to death for the past few days, and I've got to the campaign scenario where hordes of T72's and BMP descend on you. No problem I thought - I've 2 x 155mm Howitzer batteries. Set them for heavy, short duration and selected anti-armour ammunition. The ground in front of the spotter disappeared in gouts of sand and dust, and I thought, take that! Unfortunately, when the dust cleared not one of the vehicles seemed to be in the slightest way upset. I've reloaded this scenario three times and still haven't had any success with the anti-armour rounds. Has anybody else had problems with this?
  3. I'm only having trouble with the Afrika Corps game (the CDV version). I bought CMBO direct from Battlefront and CMBB as the CDV version. I appreciate that the the problem is with the safedisc protection, and the game itself is great fun. It just leaves a bit of a bad taste in the mouth when I've had to get a cracked version to run the game. If cracks are so easy to get (it took me ten minutes) what is the point in the copy protection that just upsets paying customers?
  4. Same problem. I ended up installing the No-CD crack. I'm pretty pissed off havg bought all three versions of CM and having to load a pirate version to get the dammed thing to work!
  5. Yes, it is the CDV version, bought from a supplier in England - I think it might be something wrong with the copy protection
  6. Windows ME doesn't have a compatibility tag - although I wish it had!
  7. CMAK installed OK, but refuses to run. I've got a system with Windows ME, and two CD writers. I've tried both disks in both drives. When I try to start with disc 1, I get the 'wrong disk' message. When I try with disc 2, the CD driver flashes for about a minute and then nothing happens. I tried reinstalling the program, but it did no good. I've also tried running with my virus checker and firewall off - no luck. I've had no problems running any previous programs (including CMBO and CMBB) Any ideas?
