No, I am refering to a nickname the Russians called them. The word is not in cyllric. They had much fear in these assualt guns and called them this....

Can anyone tell me what the Russians used to call the Stug(nickname)? Not looking for the english translation, but the actual Russian word.

So, Moon. Do you think its practical to put in the ability of the crews to be able to fix a track? I know it was done, from all the reading I have done on WWII. I think it could be done in such a manner that it would be very risky to do(plus time consuming), unless you were safe from enemy fire at the time that it could be done. In other words, if you risk it during a heated battle, you could wind up losing your crew. From earlier post I wrote here, I could have really used that Tiger later in the mission, and He was not in any danger where He was. So, why not the crew be able to repair it, and get back into the battle.

LOL! That was a good one Moon. It always seems that way. Recently I had a little Stuart tank that seem almost invincable. Deflecting shots from AT guns, Jagdpanzer IV, and finally 2 shots from shrek at point blank range finally finished him off. Damn!!! I guess the allies should have mass produced them, instead of that stupid sherman...LOL.

It seems that the ai is way better with the bazooka then the humans...

Ok, I get it. Just that I had a tank that it could have been done to and it would have been nice to have that tank back later in the battle

Here is a prime example in reverse. My tiger had spotted a T-34 and engaged it, but the T-34 attempted to move. Well, the Tiger got off the shot before the T-34 was gone from LOS, but the shot still hit home. Wish I could show a video of this, it was neat. Here are the 2 screenshots.
1st one is the hit (puff of black smoke), and second screen shows the t-34 as it reappeared dead.

Thats pretty cool. Maybe before end of campaign you can get him the Knights Cross! If you do, post a shot of it.

Yah, that would be pretty neat. It seems that the battles are only lasting me about 35 to 40 minutes of actual play time. It would nice to be able to see it played out in actual time and see what you are talking about.Originally posted by Smokestack Lightning:I would love a playback recorder. There is too much going on in the battle to see it all happen. It would be nice to review the action in places you missed after the battle is over.

I didnt really like the way the demo mission plays out. They made it too difficult, and may have chased off some potential buyers. But, I had already pre-ordered it and I have found that playing the actual game is better then the demo, and I am having alot of fun with it. It just takes getting use to. It is best to have it set to veteran also. As it stands I have only lost one battle, and I probably could have reloaded and tried again, but didnt really like that particular one anyway. I say mess around with the modded demo like webwing did and you will maybe like it...

RACK HIM!Originally posted by FaxisAxis:Molo, and who ever else this may apply to, why isn't moons point sinking in?
You don't complain over and over again and talk $hit about the game in every post. It simply ruins the forum. They were saying nothing constructive and if they didn't like the game and thought it was a total failure and utterly hopeless as they indicated more than a few times, then they shouldn't be here to ruin it for others. Why would those who are enjoying the game and have constructive suggestions in hope that a few patches may make it better want to come here and read the oppinions of these A$$hole$
If you feel riped off and feel those who like it are fools then express your personal oppinion directly once or twice and leave. This is not your place if-you keep getting your butt handed to you in every battle - if you feel that the game is a hopeless fiasco. Move on.
Most of what they had to say was pure negative flaming anyways.
As for billyboob if you think you're such a bad ass, fat boy, with your highschool threats come visit me in Connectcut. After reading what kind of punk you are I'd love to realign your jaw or remove a few of your teeth someone with as big a mouth as yours needs it. And trust me I am more than up to it.
I personally like the game, and agree 100% with what you said. Very tired of reading this crap.

LOL! Yes you are right! I wish I could have take some screens of his handy work...
Maybe I will see if I have a screen of the above area He was shooting from, and you can see all the little stickmen on the ground...lol

I would personally like to see the ability of the tank crews to repair their broken tracks. It was actually done in battle, and sometimes meant the difference in them saving their hide. No need for a repair team or recovery vehicle for this type of duty. Just make it take a reasonable amount of time and add the risk factor. There have been many times I have had a tank with a busted track that was too far back in battle to make a difference anymore, but would have been great to have been able to fix track and rejoin the battle.

Pwncake, It was in the Mongoose (German Campaign Scenario). Wish I could have showed some other screenshots of him at work, but I was busy babysitting my tanks so they didnt get killed..lol. What really worked was hiding him in a big bush, and man it was a slaughter.

Nice theory! Have you seen it work for real?, or are you speculating. It sounds good, but it sucks when you fire a bunch of rounds trying to hit the turret. I wonder if it would be wiser to just get into a better position where hit probability would be better. It seems like they never give you enough good rounds to be wasteing on trying to hit a turret from too far away.

I can't, the last save of mine is about a second before the platoon of Shermans...beams down onto the battlefield...I think it must be the Kelly's Heroes platoon [/QB]Originally posted by JG53_Jaguar:[ [/qb]

All other tanks mostly need more hits do get knocked out, while they can destroy you with one hit. Since even the high velocity gun of the Panther can destroy an IS-2 or an ISU-152 at moderate ranges, it`s really not amusing, if a Panther needs 3 hits to kill a Stuart.
Amen to that bro. It took me longer to kill that stupid Stuart than anything so far. Finally with combined effort and 2 rounds from a panzershrek...lol. Love the game, but some of these encounters leave me scratching my head(bald..lol). I am sure some of these matters will be addressed in the patches to come. Cant wait for the modding community to start making some better maps/balanced.

Not sure if this was brought up, but the trucks are having a hard time at pathfinding. I have also had it where they would not move from a location, and there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. Also, I have had it where they would not un-hitch the weapon from the vehicle, even with the personnel still aboard. Like I said, not sure if this was brought up, but definetly needs to be addressed. There were times you need every gun you have available, and it sucks to see it sitting undamaged and unable to be used.
