  1. I'm going to lean towards NO because your system is really weak.

I posted my specs earlyer with the question"will my system handle the game"?

I was hoping the silence was a "yes"

Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 System Model: OptiPlex GX270

  2. Had a similar problem where the pc just upped and rebooted itself while playing the Busting the Bocage. Gtx 580 GPU temps less than 50c and all cpu cores less than 40c so not sure what caused it. Went and reinstalled video driver and switched back to using HDMI and so far no problems.

That's a bit of a bugger - probably due to overheating. Open the case up and give the fans a good hoover. Don't touch the PC with the hoover though.
  3. Big difference to CMSF environment kind of like a diorama come to life. Also notice a big difference on the performance tab in Task Manager between CMSF and CMBN – very, very curious.

Starting to get the hang of boscage just need to move faster. That 81mm roasted one of my squads and 30cal mg.

Now all I need is the full game to give the editor a rigorous work out.

  4. Well from BFCs POV I think I would rather release on a Monday than a Friday. You figure there is going to be at least a couple solid weeks of nothing but support request and lots questions and comments to be answered so I think I would want a couple of days off before going into that but hey if they want to release sooner than that then fine by me.

I hope I am close to right I’m tired of waiting.

Friday 13th :) ... i have given up guessing to be honest , hopeful for next week but then i though April too.
  5. I agree with OP and including scroll bars. Basic GUI design should not be overlooked.

Fair enough. I got used to the default commands because they worked for me. It wasn't 'especially' (;)) hard for me to use them to control my troops and at no point did they turn me off the game.

I guess I'm just lucky in that respect. I'm not blind to the idea that they can (and should) be improved in future iterations though.

Heck, I'd be happy if in CMBN they put in a scroll bar on the scenario selection screen and gave players the option to delete saved games in the the interface. I don't imagine this is high up on BF's list of 'things to do' mind.

  6. I'm getting between 32 - 70 fps in that very same scenario. Previously I was getting 15 - 40 fps untill I OC-ed my cpu and set driver settings to application-controled and turned off occlusion/hdr (didn't like it anyway).

    i7 920 3.6Ghz

    gtx 480

    12 GB mem

Btw just got the Zalman 3000F GPU cooler and wow what a difference.

  7. Got the same thing in a custom battle using turn based play, normally I play real time and have never seen it.

When pressing the red button to end the replay phase it would pause for about 5-8 seconds and ofc the last time I pressed it then got the oom error. Not sure if this a stack memory error or what but it does get progressively worse. Seems in my case it might be related to the storing of replays.

  8. Germans in trenches, Russians attacking. When Russians come over the hill about 0 degrees relative to front of trench and range I think about 250-350 meters, two pixel truppen decide to get a better angle to target by jumping out of trench to open ground and then ofc get their pixel heads blown off even though I had hold position set for all units.
