  1. Where's the problem? It's quite easy. smile.gif

Those people who want to use the original nazi flag in SC2 with this mod can use it and those people who don't want to use it can ignore this mod. It's everyone's own personal decision.

A lot of people seem to forget that freedom of opinion is a basic right. I also don't denounce people who are against abortion due to their religious ideology, even though I've got a completely different opinion in this matter.

    @jon_j_rambo

Only kings and emperors speak of himself in third person. I noticed that you always say "We don't want this mod..." instead of "I don't want this mod...". ;)

    Ciao Frank

  2. @Desert Dave

    Well, I've got two questions:

    1. What is your profession in real life? It seems to me that this might be something about philosophy (like a teacher), some kind of freelance or a physician. Most things you write (those parts I understand as a "not native English speaker") makes a lot of sense and you write this in an extravagant way.

    2. Where did you live in Germany (french border)? I live in the Saarland, not far away from Kaiserslautern, Ramstein and Saarbruecken).

    Ciao Frank

  3. Hello,

sometimes, during AI movement (attack phase), the game freezes and my machine (computer) automatically reboots. Thus, I assume that SC2 causes a severe system crash.

Note that this only happens sometimes and only during AI attacks. In a game with only human players, this error does not occur.

    My system:

    AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ @FX 60

    Gigabyte K8N Ultra-9 (Nforce 4 Ultra)

2048 MB Kingston HyperX DDR 400

    MSI Geforce 7800 GTX

    Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty

    Ciao Frank

  4. The United States was clearly the good guys in World War II. If you can't figure this out, well, maybe you never wiil.
Well, that's right. They fought for democracy and their ideological idea of a free world and capitalism. But in order to achieve this goal, the USA supported the devil Stalin and his evil regime, who murdered millions of people, just like the nazis.

They supported one devil to defeat the other. Interesting point of view: The USA knew that a victorious Germany would be a much bigger threat for world peace than a victorious Soviet Union.

By the way; I'm a German and I am glad that the USA helped to defeat Hitler, since: if Germany would have defeated Russia and the rest of Europe, we all would not live any more: I'm sure that the fascists would have caused a third world war with atomic weapons.

    Ciao Frank

  5. Interesting. My grandfather (85 years old) was a (decorated) member the german Waffen SS. He was not a "nazi", he just fought for his country, just like the russian and american soldiers, who are celebrated as heroes nowadays. The only difference is that Germany lost the war and the allies won it.

Most people forget that there are also german soldiers who unfortunately fought for the wrong idea of this fascist regime. Nevertheless, they did their "job" quite good.

Sorry, but this is my personal opinion. :(

Hmm, which one do you mean:

    This one:

    or Heinrichs "rechte Hand":

I dont' think that one of these people can be considered as a german military leader in WW2. You may call them political leader or organizer, but not a military authority.

  7. Hello,

I played the german demo of this game: it's great! I still remember the good old "Storm across Europe" or "Crusade in Europe" when I play your game. I love this kind of strategic turn based games. smile.gif

Well, one question remains before I buy it: does the official patch 1.07 also work with the german version?

I think I should be able to install it manually, since there are only two important files for me:

    sc.exe

    capital.wav

The rest of the german version seems to be already up to date, meaning the beta patch of 07.04.2003 is already installed. Can I replace the german SC.exe with your patched SC.exe?

    Thanks for your help!
