  1. Hmm, it's been a while since our last patch. I understand this next one will most likely be our final one for CMAK, but it's just that there doesn't seem to be much recent news about it. I was just wondering if the BFC team could give us a small progress update and spoilers in what is expected to be fixed. Of course the best would be a release date too, if that's not asking too much. :D

And even better if they released it after reading this post, but somehow I don't think so...

    Much appreciated! smile.gif

  2. If I remember correctly, wall protection extends from 5 to 10m behind the wall although I forgot the percentage cover. If the unit is hiding or taking cover, then it's 0% exposure for the purposes of direct fire (but not direct fire HE, that still seems to rout).

Thats weird. Is that a bug? I know trops abandon buildings about to collapse, so I assumed it would be the same.
  4. I thought this might be an excellent oppurtunity for all us players out there to post pictures of the wonderful CM series (both BB and AK) in action!

C'mon everyone, exercise you photography talents!

    I'll start the ball rolling:

Today is NOT a good day to die.

Some of you will recognise the mods in my screenies :D

I'll post some CMAK screenies tomorrow. Meanwhile, fill this thread up, guys!

P.S To keep loading times minimum, I think it would be preferable to post pics under 100k.

  5. My specs are:

    Athlon XP 2400+

    512 RAM

    ATI Radeon 9700 PRO

    Western Digital Caviar 80GB + 8mb Cache

    WinXP + SP1

Also have TMPGenc Plus 2.521 and VirtualDub

I tried scaling CMAK back down to 800x600 and recording at half size@20FPS. The game running speed was also about 20fps so seems ok at playback. Sorta blurry, so I'm trying to use TMPGenc to clean it up. Also drops down to 15fps if I turn on 6xFSAA. With no FSAA and @ 1024x768 FPS drops to about 12 and on 1280x1024 goes down to 8fps.

How do I create a ramdisk? I've already defraged my HD, although I was considering getting a sceond one anyway.

  7. Currently, I'm interested in recording CMAK action footage to make a short video clip. The program that I'm using is FRAPS 2.0 full version. However, when I try to record, the game goes TERRIBLY slow and when I replay the video, it shows. Do any of you guys havea any suggestions? I've pretty much toned down all the settings already for the recording....the choppiness ruins the atmosphere.

The samegame also shows an interesting spotting/targetting anormaly: the Panzerschreck placed for comparision in a similar position relative to another tank is always instantly spotted and taken under fire by the tank.

The squads are not, although they fire their Fausts just fine.

It seems counterintiutive that a full squad is spotted with more difficulty than a two-man team.

One squad are only 58m from the tank, the Panzerschreck is 67. The angle toward the tank is about the same and both unit have about the same position inside an inditical heavy building.

My apologies Redwolf, you are correct. It seems that after loading up your savegame and extensive testing myself, the Panzershreck DOES NOT have supression while all types of Panzerfaust DO.

BFC is there time for a last minute 1.01 change to reverse this?
