Basically, after years of playing mostly balanced battles against people, I am looking forward to the challenge of more realistic battles.

I think you have some idea of what's coming bases on the strategic map. Setup will be crucial. If you know you are totally out gunned. Set up on the back edge of the map. Flee to the adjacent map and bring help from other MEs in the next round of battles.

Any preferences? Hassan i Sahba by Hawkwind will be perfect to set the mood for the red side, as for the Blues...surfin usa maybe? :D

Hawkwind ummmm some of their really early stuff: Warrior on the Edge of Time
  3. I think all that has been said in this thread makes lotsa sense- unplayable massed games, unrealistic etc.

But I wonder if the massed ball of forces can be surrounded and made out-a-supply, resulting in all that armor becoming bulletless pill boxes. That alone can force the plsyer to keep the troops to stay spread out in a realistic distribution.

  4. So how are victory points accumulated?

OK, I assume total casualities/total survivors count as a major factor for victory.

    Which is more important?

    </font>

    • Winning a small CMBB battle with 4 flags</font>
    • The total over all CMC squares that count more</font>

Basically, is an uncontested CMC square equivilant to a CMBB won CMC square (not counting KIA/WIAs)?

Do you get victort points for a CMBB win?

    cheers

Apparently the Soviets couldn't have built so many of their own tanks without US steel?

Another query...how much of Germany's output was deployed on the eastern front? I've read as much as 90%, but that seems somewhat high. </font>

  6. Lineman for the county

I am a lineman for the county.

    And I drive the mainroad.

Lookin' in the sun for another overload.

I hear you singing in the wire. Chorus 1

I can hear you thru the whine.

    And the Wichita Lineman,

    is still on the line.

    I know I need a small vacation.

But it don't look like rain.

And if it snows that stretch down south,

    won't ever stand the strain.

And I need you more than want you. Chorus 2

And I want you for all time.

    And the Wichita Lineman,

    is still on the line.

    (Lead, then Repeat last chorus)

  7. Open the CMAK scenario editor.

While holding down the 'Shift' and 'Ctrl' key click on load briefings.

You will now be asked to load the briefing into a new location of your choice. Choose new location (I prefer desktop).

Click 'Save' 3 times, one for overall and two side-specific briefings. The order is: Overall -Axis - Allied.

Using a text editor, open briefings and edit or translate, as needed.
