personally i would love a remake of CMBB (russians vs germans, a great mix, and a great mix of vehicles)
But, it *could* be the italian campaign, heres my logic :
its got the germans,brits and yanks in and everyone loves playing as one of them.
its not been done, so it should fit into this hersy about that it won't be a CMBO remake.
you get to use Tiger tanks...come on, whats the point of spending years making a great new engine if you can't drive a tiger tank around?
but if its not then, it will be a cmbo remake, tho if we are lucky it could be a 1939 - 1945 western front sim...thing...

firstly Once the four different device drivers are installed, the software monitors your CD-drive to confirm you're using the original CD, while the system encrypts executable files, but also non-executable files included in the application. The software also collects system information and creates an error report should anything go wrong.

the software gobbles up computing cycles, slows CD drive read-times, creates CD-R read errors even after removal, and is responsible for a number of device conflicts - particularly with external USB drives.
so it installs silently, watchs what you do, and can damage your system...is it a virus...no...is it a trojan...no...Its Star Force4!!!! the protection that stops me buying brian lara cricket!

I really have to argee with Panzer76, combat ranges since and during ww2 were almost always under 300m. and in ww2 the germasn the british used very good long range rifles.

yes, war isn't fair, but we are comparing two rifles, not how the US army can uses a M16 and a few tanks and planes and helicopters to liquidate some rebels with a few AK's and RPG's, i am just saying the AK isn't a bad rifle for a war against a even enemy.

yeah but, you have tanks, planes and inf, they just have inf, nothings is really going to work for them. don't matter what rifle they have its not going to stop a plane or tank (in that enviorment), i was talking more about a fairer fight.

When i am not spending my time enjoying Glider and work and other stuff, i play paintball (i know i am going to get some, HA! but paintball isn't war so you don't know what your saying)
but in paintball there used to be two choices of high end paintball gun, Auto cocker (like a M16, works great if you look after it, shoots as accurate as a paintball gun gets, and fires fast enough if you can),
and there was the Angel (just like a AK, its a tank, it can sit in a river for a few weeks then work, aims where you fire, but maybe not as good as the autococker, but can shoot really quickly for a long time).
Basicaly most people got the autococker because it could be more accurate, but in day long games it turned out the Angel was a better choice because it could just keep going and going, where some auto cockers didn't and rate of fire mattered more then accuracy because you can denie the other team lanes of movement and then slowly advance of them (surpression).
also it turns out then when the best teams met each other, they didn't just wipe each other out with there better aimed shots, o no, they were too smart for that (coz they knew they whould be dead just as quick) they exposed themselfs less and used more surpressing fire.
Right i know its not war, but i am just saying that sometimes volume and realiabty is just as good as accuracy, and when well trained "troops" meet there not going to just aim there shots better and win, because the others can aim just as well so thats to dangerous. (it takes more then just good aim to be elite, you got to be smart too)

Personally i agree with what bigduke has said so far, (i also have read the reports of how many troops actually returned fire the way they were meant to) volume and reliablity count for the most in small arms war, no point having a great weapon that shoots slighty more accuratly over 300m's if it don't work, nevermind the fact that most inf combat takes places in the sub 300m's range, anyway sniper rifles are the masters out of this range. volume is the key in the sub 300m's range and there (along with reliabilty) the AK is probly the better long term option.

Total war isn't as great as it looks, fine if u play it normally then yes it acts like a semi realistic strat game, but then u realize the actual code and how it works out afects like morale is just plain crap.
you get just get heavey cav to repeatly charge like mad and hey look u just smashed some pikemen! (why? because when cav charge then they get a morale bonus and they do extra damage say like 15 per hit instead of 8 of a normal attack) now this problem isn't to bad in single player but online i was once losing very badly against a friend of mine (i just forgot that the byzantines could die, coz i played my mate with them and found them unbeatable) and i was down to randomly rallying units and then getting them smashed,
then i saw that i still had some heavy cav and i needle worked them to attacks then repeatlyed clicked like mad to get them to charge and after taking down 4 of my friends heavy cav groups (mainly one after the other but sometimes fighting 2 at once) i got to hes leader killed him (mine was already dead) and then hes whole army more or less routed the second my cav and few other de routing units atatcked them and i won and it just felt wrong.
it was more a expolting win!
but anyway Rome total war is even worst! the romans are sooo very overpowered and some of the unit mixs u get are just odd, like the german choosen archers?!?!?!!? i never rember them from history! but heck the tribe group of people need them coz they will easy get rolled over by the romans, even the greeks and other city state tribes are that great either. but their better then the tribe group, tho seeing spartarn elite phalanxs getting frontalty assualted and destroyed by urban chorts is very annoying!

i have played fps since Duke3d and the only people who BH or other crap like that are people who aren't skilled enough to play the way the game is designed! i am sorry but u can not say BH'ing is what the designers had in mind when they made call of duty, unless they had a very warped mind of what happened in ww2.
the saying "just because you can don't mean you should" applys their, just it just annoys me when i try and get a friend into a online first person shooter theirs always some idiot on the server doing minor exploit to gain a sight advantage, which just puts my mates off. on a side note i have played thu all of the counter strike betas and many other online games and never once felt the need to bunny hop, but that could be because i am good enough to kill without goign for a little unfair advantage (rant ends now, please do carry on with this conversation about cmbb, ps i am sad to hear someone has hacked this

go to http://www.omegadrivers.net/ and download their version of the 4.10 drivers, they work alot better then the normal ones and u don't have to install .net framework either to get them to work, i hope that fix's your problem mate

well the last 30 mac's i checked had scsi, tho that could have been part of the college's deal, i just thought it was their standard, yes both mac's and 3 can have all 3 of them, i never said they couldn't tho??
