  1. November 10, 1940: - Bergen under attack - Alexandria and Suez conquered Another UK transports survives 2 airstrikes at str 2 outside Bergen. Allies try a weird ( ) counterattack near Bordeaux attacking a strong german AF directly with 1 AF and 3 carriers. Since nobody has jets, the carriers do only 0-1 damage with each direct attack - no chance to kill the AF. In contrary, the german AF strikes back and finishes off the damaged UK corps-transport that moved close to Bordeaux and damages a carrier too. Additional german air operates to the battlefield...
  2. September 15, 1940: - Sweden surrenders - UK transport outside Brest sunk - since the defenders of Egypt used their ports to load - unload, they also reduced their entrenchment to zero in this process. Therefore Alexandria will fall next turn and Suez probably one turn later @Rambo: We play with bid 200-4000-4000, so in this game Axis can´t waste too much mpps with crazy stuff - if Axis want to try crazy/different strategies they have to play with a normal bid
  3. August 11, 1940: - Vichy converted - Sweden under attack from the land side - italian transports finally land in Egypt, surrounding Alexandria (starting to reduce entrenchment to be ready when the italian armies from Vichy will arrive in some turns) and attacking Suez defender
  4. July 14, 1940: - Norway converted - Malta taken - last allied unit on the continent killed
  5. June 16, 1940: - UK fleet retreats from Sicily, italian fleet bombarding the landed corps - UK lands a new corps near Brussel to attack a german HQ, but without doing damage. German armies pleased about a new easy target - Bordeaux allied held...3 of the remaining UK units in France destroyed, only 2 left (+ the landed one near Brussel). 6. May 26, 1940: - no chance of survival for France...Germany even has some AFs left to damage the bombarding fleets outside the coast heavily - Italian fleet retaliates and sinks a british battleship outside Sicily - because of the allied attack to kill the german tank, 4 UK units are stranded in France now. So the tank takes revenge even after his death - several italian transports at the coast of Egypt - Ireland surrenders [ August 25, 2004, 06:29 AM: Message edited by: Terif ]
  7. April 28, 1940: A french army suvives luckily 4 attacks at str 1 (each minimum damage..) so France survives this time and Germany will perhaps loose 2 understrength units next turn since they are exposed to counterattacks. Nevertheless, France will now fall next turn after most of the defences are destroyed and german main forces close to Paris + 5 airfleets in range.
  8. March 31, 1940: German tanks and italian corps stand in front of Paris. The garrison is not entrenched, but a french corps survived at str 1 and will perhaps buy France another turn - otherwise it would have fallen next turn for sure.
  9. Yes, attacking a HQ supported german tank is always expensive The attackers were reduced to str 6, 4, 6 and 5 during the attack on the tank. So in the counterattack France lost a corps, an army and its only tank. German and italian forces move deep into french territory... - Allies DoW Ireland - Med fleet bombards Sicily, Malta airfleet operates back to protect the fleet after it was used in England before
  10. Axis turn 5: - Allies removed their Med units, so Italy joined - french tank used in Maginot to destroy the german corps in the LC Ardennes - from the norteh a german tank moves into France, french army destroyed, several others damaged, from the south italian troops enter France (Marseilles defended by 2 UK corps)
  11. Axis turn 3: - Allied battleship attacks near Denmark together with the polish AF and reduce a german cruiser to str 5 - polish AF in Kopenhagen destroyed by german air, corps transports from Kiel and disembarks in Kopenhagen, Denmark surrenders - Warsaw captured, the nation with its last 2 heavily damaged polish units surrenders - french battleships encounter the subs in the Atlantic and gets sunk
  12. Dalmatian plays Allies with a bonus of 200 UK, 4000 USA and 4000 Russia. - no breakthrough turn 1 in Poland, Poland reinforces its damaged army and operates air to Kopenhagen - LC surrenders turn 2, not enough damage at the polish AF after an airbattle, so allied navy only bombards the danish corps. Polish corps and army killed, all 3 remaining defenders in and around Warsaw reduced to str 7-8. Warsaw will fall next turn.
  13. Blashy, it always depends on the opponent how a game developes and if a strategy/house rule will work how you want it to work. So if you play against the right opponents I am sure it will be more balanced. If it works for you, just do it .
  14. @Curry: Yep, good game. From mpps/turn and units, Axis has only a slight advantage (8000mpps bonus for USA + Russia evens out the ´monster attack´ ). But you are right, UK will not be able to support an invasion in the next time, so Russia will be nearly crushed when western Allies are ready to invade - and then it is most probably too late. @Liam: Hmm, I think it´s the other way round: a no tech game can work against an average/not so experienced axis player that gives Allies opportunities to train and who doesn´t protect France against an invasion. But a good axis player will not give the carriers a chance for training and also make a landing impossible. At least when you would play against me, you will not find a training site except Ireland . You can hit isolated locations perhaps once or twice, but then you have to sail away or the carriers are toast (most likely they are even toast in the first attack...) - and to sail to the next isolated location will need half a year (it is usually either Norway or the Med - to switch between them needs a lot of time for ships). Besides, since carriers without tech are ineffective against enemy air, air is cheap without jets and 1-2 air is enough for protection - since carriers without tech are not able to kill them - Axis has no problem to protect every possible location with air (if necessary even without HQ, since carriers are even then hopelessly inferior to the air).
  15. December 14, 1941: Barbarossa starts.... - Portugal surrounded and bombarded - Greece and Iraq surrender - all 9 border armies in Russia cut off or destroyed, both tanks, a cruiser and an airfleet killed, a second AF damaged. German forces in Russia at the moment: 10 armies (AT lv 1), 8 tanks (lv 0), 7 airfleest (lv 2), 7 HQs and 8 corps/minor units.
  16. April 5, 1942: Axis DoWs Spain and moves in with some weak corps and minor units. Germany follows an air strategy and built 12 airfleets, but not enough ground units. Russia destroyes a german army near Koenigsberg, reduces another one to str 2. Russian line is strong and not many enemy armies around... UK attacks in the West and kills a german airfleet (3 remaining in the west)- carriers moving into position for the next strike. Brest under attack, invasion fleet along the french coast. Since Germany built too many airfleets, France is nearly empty besides the german air...
  17. March 8, 1942: Only 5 russian border armies destroyed or cut off. German forces in Russia: 5 armies, 1 tank, 12 corps/minor units, 3 airfleets. Russia operates units to Beirut in order to conquer Baghdad. Defence line 2 hexes east of Koenigsberg behind the river and between Kiev and Odessa established. UK reached jets lv 3 some turns ago. Germany reveals anti-tank lv 1.
  18. January 11, 1942: Italian navy bombarding Gibraltar - allied task force responds and sink the last axis battleship USA joined, Allies DoW Iraq and occupy the oilfields. Russia joining next turn.
  19. November 30, 1941: In the meantime there is a steady stream of damaged corps returning to England for reinforcement and fresh corps moving south starting in Manchester... . Gibraltar corps again replaced... USA preparing for war.
  20. November 1941: Should be pretty expensive the attacks at Gibraltar - german air usually receives a hit in return in most attacks. Corps only took 3 str damage this time, so no need to replace it. German corps transport sitting near Gibraltar again reduced to str 3. Readiness: USA: 89% Russia: 79%
  21. October 1941: 5 AFs attacking Gibraltar - UK replaces the corps again for a fresh one.
  22. September 7, 1941: Now 4 AFs attack Gibraltar and a corps transport moves nearby. UK replaces the damaged corps with a fresh one, a battleship reduces the corps transport to str 3. Readiness: USA: 81% Russia: 72%
  23. August 24, 1941: Anti-air has nothing to do with it (BTW it is still at lv 1). German air had to recognice that it is not a good idea to attack a fully entrenched AF in the capital. No damage for the defender. Gibraltar also attacked by 3 airfleets from Algier, but since fortresses have an air defence bonus of 4, they only did minor damage too.
  24. July 27, 1941: - fortunately Germany decides to reinforce the str 1 corps near Algier instead of taking the empty city. So Vichy has another turn and will surrender next turn - 4 german air spotted in France
  25. July 13, 1941: - German air intercepts from Cologne, so UK air retreats in the interior of England - Yugoslavia coups - the german corps near Algier survives again at str 1, so Vichy will fall this turn
