  1. I suppose all people do is come in here and b*tch and moan about things, so no one will address this. But this could easily be fixed in the next patch yes?
  2. Why is it that, when defending, the sharpshooter HAS to have a foxhole? This is very inconvenient when you sneak them behind enemy lines, because the foxhole left behind gives you away (you know, when place him in the front . . . ). I'm not whining, but is there a good reason why this is so? I think it would be more realistic to give you the option of using foxholes.
  3. The grammatical errors are annoying, but loads of incorrect info on tables in inexcusable. That's the reason that half of us bought the book. This is not consistent with the quality of everything else battlefront. shame. It isn't our duty to find all the damn errors and report them. The editor should be shot. Do you suppose Bersaglieri rifle squads had more than 5 Carcano rifles?
  4. has anyone figured out how to attach a mortar carrying halftrack to an HQ unit, so that it can remain hidden but still use the mortars? Is this possible?
  5. If the only need you have is scouting, then band for buck you are right, the sharpshooter is not the best. But the sharpshooter has SO many other talents that it is actually quite cheap for 25 points. The sharpshooter is the MVP of CMBB. period.
  6. Redwolf, if what you say is true, and based on loads a repeated experiences with this, then yes . . . that is bug worth reporting. It's really annoying.
  7. When defending, you design your whole set up based on HQ command range. Why is it that during setup the command range is a little longer than once you hit "go"? Has anyone else had this problem where they set everything up, with PERFECT friggin command range lines, only to find that once they hit "go" one or more squads are registered as out of range? This happens to me all the damn time. What am I doing wrong?
  8. most of the guide is brilliant. The greatest flaw is that it's annoying when you need to quick reference something. how about an index next time. This is also a problem in the manual, albeit a smaller one because of the table of contents.
  9. no you're right . . . or so it seems. Just wanted to be sure. If you try and stretch the "mine"-line with very small gaps, what are the parameters that define what gap is too large, allowing tanks to pass through.
  10. when using mines . . . how do you judge just exactly how close they should be placed to each other to create an impenetrable "wall"? For example, I line 7 AT mines along side one another in open field. The idea being to create a "wall" that NO tank can sneak through. Is there a rule on proximity here?
  11. Hey man, help a rookie out. I (badly) need this strategy guide, and it says I need cookies to order it online. I don't have "cookies". Do what the hell are cookies and how do I get them? Thanks gents.
  12. Why yes, I'm in the habit of singing at my opponent and it does work great.
  13. What about with sharpshooters? If you attach a stealthy HQ does it help sharpshooters "sneak" around?
  14. Do HQ combat and morale bonuses effect your artillery barrage?
  15. yes but how do you use winRAR? Do you download it somewhere?
  16. Alright now I've gone and done it . . . my german soldiers are wearing school-glasses and of course I don't like half of what I installed. What is WinRAR and how do I work with it. Assume I know nothing, because I don't.
  17. I just downloaded some "mods" from wargamer. I've never done this before and don't want to screw up the game. Could someone tell me where I'm supposed to put these new mod "pictures" to use them. For example in the "BMP" folder or the "Open Play Modules" folder?!
  18. Thanks for the help gents! While we're at it (this is off topic), there was much discussion of "treebursts" in CMBO. Does the computer calculate a difference when arty fires into a patch of pines or woods?
  19. I don't know German and have had no luck finding (via German dictionaries) what the term "uber" means. It is obvious that everyone here knows. Would someone do me the humble favor of explaining what this word means? Thanks, john
