My global moral was 98% and victory was 100%. Russian casualties were close to 300! Anyone else had this ceasefire problem?

This sounds like what I am interested in.If you are looking for a lengthy, hard-core STRATEGIC analysis of the eastern front from the Soviet perspective, Erickson's "Road to Stalingrad" (and the next volume, "Road to Berlin") are the books for you...
If it's not readable then I don't think I'll buy it. An unreadable book can be a real problem.If you want anything else (such as a readable narrative with graphic descriptions of small unit actions), Erickson's books are definitely NOT for you... -
Anyone like "Road to Stalingrad", by John Erickson? I would recommend it, but I haven't read it.

Therein lies the problem....Maybe the AI is calling for the ceasefire. However, you aren't given any chance to refuse if he does. -
Nah. No ceasefire request on my part. I can't recall the last time I requested a ceasefire. But I can recall that a dialog box asks for confirmation. There was no such dialog box during the game.
My troops were top-notch SS with plenty of ammo and no casualties. I doubt they would fail to follow up on a rout against lowly partisans!

I had a nice little QB going against the AI with me leading a couple platoons of SS taking on hundreds of partisans. I had managed to corral the raggedy bunch into some scattered trees (with some help from my artillery) and was about to send in my boys to finish them off when a ceasefire was called.
Every single one of my squads had plenty of ammo and no casualties. So what gives? How can this be?
This has got to be a BUG!
And no, I didn't save the game. [Edit: It was late and I was tired and the next day I started up a new game wiping the autosave....]
(Happy New Year everyone!)
[Edit: Other people have had this same problem. See following posts.]

I too would recommend this film. It is a film Spielberg could never have made.I would also recommend a Russian film called "Come and See", which covers the partisan war. Again, it is both horrific and moving.It isn't Russian however, but Belarusian.

What got me was they thought nobody would notice, that by calling it an "Index" it would become one.

These should have been in CM2:
* Full movie replay
* Relative spotting
* PBEM 2 emails per turn but keeping anti-cheat ability
* Co-operative team play
* LOS blocked by vehicles
* Convoy command for vehicles
* Choose HQ for teams

A surrender is when the other guys all have their hands up in the air and the game says they have surrendered, right? I would have been happy with that.
