  1. Good points i will try them out! Someone said about killing the commander, i did actually manage that as right at the begining of the game i had 5 batteries of 130mm rockets pound the map, not that it made much difference as the Tiger was a Veteran aswell Oh well
  2. What can the russians do about King Tigers? My last game saw 6 T-34/85s and 7 SU-100s turned into scrap metal by one of these monstrosities  . I lost count of how many shells just bounced off it. I realise that the chances of getting him increase with side and rear shots but it prooved impossible to get a flank shot. A Soviet force of 3000pts was mashed by a german force of half the size (99% because of the King Tiger) Suggestions are welcome Cheers!
  3. What network port does CMAK use to listen for incoming connections in TCP/IP? This would be usefull information as I need to setup Port forwarding on my router. I hope someone knows Cheers
  4. Hi Everyone, I have been running a series of multiplaer campaign games for the CM series of games now for about 6 months via my website TheFogOfWar.NET and I have finalised a new idea for CMAK. Its called Operation Hercules and is based on the same aborted operation that was to be carried out by joint Italian/German forces in July of 1942. If your interested take a look at the page on my site and let me know. I want to gather some feedback and suggestions before I launch myself fully into the campaign. Thanks for your time!
  5. Hi there folks! Im running a site (TheFogOfWar.net) concerned with CMBB, CMBO amd of course CMAK multiplayer campaigns. Im running a test phase of a campaign at the moment but i will soon need more players for the actual final campaign due to commence within the next month. If you are interested drop me an email etc and hopefully we can sort somin out. Also ther is a space on the german side for 1 more player in the test phase so if you think you have the skills then let me know! Cheers

  7. Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, I am pleased to announce the opening of recruitment for my multiplayer campaign OPERATION CARPIQUET . This campaign will involve the three to four days of fighting that took place between elements of the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division and the 12th SS "Hitler Jugend" Panzer Division During early July 1944. To find out how to get involved, use the link below. Operation Carpiquet [ September 27, 2003, 09:53 AM: Message edited by: 6thAirborne ]
  8. Hi! I have recently launched a new website ( www.thefogofwar.net ) Concerning as many aspects of WW2 gaming as possible. I have many ideas and have a few multiplayer CMBO and CMBB campaigns in mind. The most recent of which involves the battles around Carpiquet Airfield in early July 1944. If anyone is interested in such an under taking or wants to get involved in another matter let me know. CMBO and CMBB are great games with a great and friendly online population. I would very much like to see what is possible with these games. Cheers! [ September 23, 2003, 12:52 PM: Message edited by: 6thAirborne ]
  9. Hi! I have just launched a new website concerning WW2 gaming of all types ( www.thefogofwar.net ) I own and play SC and think its a great game. Im wondering if anyone here fancies writing up something about the game, Im more than willing to post it on the site with full credits to the owner. A few pic of the game aswell would be good. let me know what you think! Cheers.
  10. This is all really great information. now comes piecing it all together to make a campaign of sorts. Out of curiosity more than anything, who would be interested in helping/playing a part in this? The more time i take to look at the whole situation the more help i think i will need also somebody is going to have to play/test it. Thanks guys! p.s. anymore info that people could supply would be very usefull. It all helps. How about Canadian troop strengths at the start of the combat? It would also be usefull to know where the front lines were at the begining aswell.
  11. Thats great information thanks! All information you could supply on German strengths and equipment would be very usefull. Feel free to email me any relevant info. Im currently building a web site (www.theFogofWar.net) to support this project of mine. It will be up and running within a week. Thanks for your help!
  12. Hi there folks. Im planning a multiplayer campaign involving the battles for CARPIQUET AIRFIELD around the 5 - 15 of July 1944. I know this request is of topic but i need some help finding out the OOBs and ToEs of the forces involved. I know the basic OOB for the 12th SS Division but have no idea what canadian or british forces were involved or what there OOB was at the time. Also if anyone has any idea of the relative strength of the units involved at the start of the Battles that would be very helpfull aswell. Thanks guys! 13. Hi, Ive not seen the Air Fleets in Ireland, but i have noticed that the Axis forces always attack the low countries even when french units are moved. I have only noticed this since I installed the 1.07 patch. It looks like the AI has been tweaked just abit...
  14. I would like to suggest Command and Control . This could gradually upgrade the number of units an HQ could supply and control aswell as the amount of extra supply and readiness that was added to the controlled forces. The USA in WW2 improved their command and control doctrines a great deal, especially during Normandy where they were pinned down in deadly clost quarters battle and new ways of fighting in the Bocage were developed.
  15. In my most recent game I landed a british force on the german baltic coast at the same time as landing around brest and counter attacking in russia. Combined with a strong push from the russian units i managed to cut off and surround at leats 6 corps and 4 armies and to top it off 3HQs were also caught up in the chaos I found it pretty successfull, you will need to move up some ships to take out the german fleet and also Norway and sweden need to be captured.
