I guess you wont be buying it then, Laffertytig.

But contrary to Blanar's post, I dont see how a campaign would 'ruin' the other 'mods/rules'. They would still be usable... no? It would not negate them methinks.

  2. If you guys are on a crusade to rid the world of swastikas(any nazi symbol), go to the neonazi sites. Not the sites that are about wargames. Naturally, being historical will bring the 'symbols' to light, but actually believing them is another story.

Their maybe a few people who believe the rheoteric behind the images, but they are presumably very few, at least here. Go crusade elsewhere.

And somewhere out there there are Caravan owners without problems (yet) looking down their self righteous, virus infested, disease spreading noses covered in dried and crusty bodily fluids from undesireable areas of the human anatomy and railing on those trying to make known their misfortune with their caravans, declaring them product "bashers" and "whining" about their problems.

Unfortunately for these that deem the misfortunate this way, there is no further enlightenment toward wholeness and purity of their Caravan that can be attained. Existance for them is reduced to comparing themselves to those they distain that they may glory in the reflection of themselves in their Caravan's rear view mirror.

But of course this is a hypothetical ideal since I've never met a major jerk off like that. ;)

Wow, this paints a very, ummm... bizarre picture.

I would never own a dodge... on purpose.

  4. I can honestly say my intent was not lambasting anyone in this topic. I've had problems in the past, I understand.

I think you read too much into my 'bashing' statement, when all I was doing is agreeing to Teach's post, it having been my experience also.

The fog table emulation problem, oh yes indeedy. I really dont know who to point the finger at for that when it works for other games. Just not CM. In all honesty, it doesnt really bother me, Until someone points it out. But I do agree with you, it should be fixed.

So I say good luck to you, and fair winds.

Bottom line, I am so very happy with ATI after being a GF user since day one.

I have a very similar experience with ATI and Nvidia. Good to hear this instead of all the bashing. smile.gif
  6. In regards to one of the original posters questions about clipping.

Even at 'normal' size the AFV's will clip each other and buildings about half way it seems.

Their is no fix(unless you just dont clutter them togeother)and just presume its an abstraction of sorts... ;)

Dammit, just read YD's fourth or fifth paragraph...

  7. When moving the mouse pointer over certain vehicles or trying to select them, causes the game to crash.

I thought I read something in the technical support area about it before, but could find no reference to it again.

    Enlighten me.

    AMD 2000+

    Radeon 9500 PRO

    512 MB DDR

    ASUS A7V333

Also using current patched version 1.3 of CMBB.

After watching this thread and posting to it over the last several months it appears that the following sad truths are evident:

1)Apple is not doing anything about this issue

2)ATI is not doing anything about this issue

3)The games creator is not doing anything about this issue

Which adds up to NO ONE is doing anything about this issue.

I must say I find this very disheartening. I have enjoyed many many hours of great gameplay overthe past few years but it looks as if that is over now. In addition I will not be purchasing any more games from this company. While I don't blame them for doing nothing about this issue; there are to few people affected, it would cost to much to do it, it can't be fixed, etc., I would hope that they would take notice of the fact that they will be losing all their Mac customers in the future as people buy new machines. Again this may be of little consequence to battlefront, lets face it, we Mac users are to small a slice of the pie for them to stand up and get involved in trying to help us out. $'s talk, Macs walk.

Again i want to stress that there are no hard feelings on my part, I am just very bummed that it looks like this is the end.

If anybody hears of a real fix to the issue please let me know at: czara@attbi.com

Thanks again battlefront for the good times.
