  2. Hello, I am in the second mission of the tutorial campaign. I have "acquired" the javelins for my squads and run them out to the line in front of the strykers. (I can see the javelins in their inventories) They spot the tanks. I give a target order for each team for a tank. (the icon is bright red indicating they can see it) The target line shows up. I activate the turn and nothing ever happens. I even tried running my squad up the map a way...nothing. Any ideas?
  3. I have grabbed CMMOS and am wondering where to start! So many mods around. What cmmos mods would you say make the biggest difference in the game. Thanks for any help. Scooby!
  4. Hmm....thanks for the info but still am having some difficulty. Here is a screenshot of my problem. The mortar doesnt have line of sight yet the HQ does. I am trying to drop smoke where the HQ los is and it wont stick. Guess I am doing something wrong.... Thanks for any additional help.
  5. Just started with CMAK and am playing the tutorial. I am trying to fire smoke over a ridge with my mortar but it won't let me target anything past the LOS. Is this just the way it is? I have snuck a HQ unit to the top of the ridge because I thought that if that unit could see, I could then target the area but no dice. I realize that accuracy would be limited but it would be great to launch some smoke "blindly" over the ridge to provide some cover. Any ideas? Thanks for any input! Scooby!
  6. I am playing through the Stalingrad Pack and am at Hell On Earth. (I'm playing them in chronological order) All the other scenarios show up fine but this one....it is not displayed in the scenario selection window. I am running the lates patch.   7. First of all, thanks to Ligur for the excellent post on scouting! (very helpful) and to the others that have been trying to help me with the "Into the Void" scenario from the Stalingrad Pack. I'm having a very annoying problem with advancing my units in the "Void" scenario. I'm including a pic so if you don't want to see the scenario at all before playing it, you may not want to scroll down....(the pick is of the very beginning of the scenario, so it really doesn't give much away) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Here is my problem..... I have all of the units you see in the trees, in hull down position with full LOS to the treeline. I also have a Platoon HQ with equally good LOS. In the above pic, I am attempting to move the PZII ahead to reveal enemy positions in the hope that my "firebase" will immediately engage them as they appear and suppress if not destroy them. Here is what happens next.... A Gun? begins targeting my tank and is firing off rounds like a banshee! I wait, anticipating the thuder-clap of my firebase opening up on this unsuspecting gun. But althought they appear to have great LOS they do nothing. Now, I imagine that either my tanks and HT's are too far away, or maybe the fact that it is identified as a "gun?" suggests that its location isn't really known. Or most likely, just because the advancing tank can see them, the others cant. If this is the case, how can I make my firebase more effective? I'm really not sure and am banging my head against the wall over this scenario! (what you can't see is that the EXACT same thing is happening to the right of the screen when I am assaulting the farm...my support just sits there and does nothing as my advancing troops are engaged by field guns.)   9. Had a look around but no luck so far... Decided to play the missions in order and can't get anything going on the 1st mission!   11. I just picked up a wacom tablet and have a bit of photshop experience. I've enjoyed scale modelling german armor for the last year or so and thought I might give Modding a try. I'm wondering if anyone has put together a "How To" guide to modding in cmbb? (I've spent a few minutes messing around with a PZII H and have gotten some realistic results...IMHO) Any advice or direction would be appreciated! Thanks.
  12. Everyone Duck! Just got a Wacom tablet and this is going to be my first mod! Can't promise anything....but at least it will have realistic dirt and such.
