  1. The first of these should be ready pretty soon and will be at CMMOD's as soon as it's done. These should also work for CMAK. I've started with the ausf J. It took quite awhile to get the cast idler to look right, so that slowed things down abit. The late J with the Flammentoeter exhaust was most commonly seen with a different idler wheel than the tubular steel idler on the G's and H's as is pictured above. I'll probably do ambush and tricolor for this one, with winter versions of both. There'll also be an option for no schuerzen as well. I've tried to do the Thoma shield mesh skirts like were included with some mods in CMBO, but they haven't turned out to my satisfaction. The ones from CMBO won't work as the mesh looks wierd when viewed up close.

  2. IIRC, the first time you run CM after install, it asks you to choose a display resolution. It begins with the 800x600 (I believe) and gives the option to click "next" to move to the next larger size. Just go into your CM folder in C\Program Files and delete the "preferences" file. It will ask you to choose the resolution you want to use again the next time you run the game.

Hey, CMBB as 'Bravo Bravo' - quite fitting. :D

The "correct" phonetics would be Charlie Mike Baker Oboe and Charlie Mike Able King...for late war.

For early war Charlie Monkey Ack King and Charlie Monkey Beer Beer.

I suspect the later might be popular with this crowd.

Had this inversion been called Combat Mission: Mediterranean (CMMN) it would have been Charlie Monkey Monkey Nuts. </font>

  4. I got the same error ("class not registered") and then it would try to connect to the internet to find a codec. I found a fix though, but it's a little time consuming. Open whatever files that won't play with Windows sound recorder and press "save". WMP will play them after that. I found a problem with Real Player too... it will put huge spaces in some of the wav files so that a 6 second file will take around 18-20 seconds to play and the file will be really choppy... maybe two seconds of sound, then a 5 or 6 second gap and then one or two seconds of sound again, etc. The open and save with Sound Recorder fixed that too.

I thought that incident was in the Market Garden episode, which would've been Sept '44.

I'll do my best. I'll probably release these as a pack and you can just pick and choose those you want to use. I've got two weeks off work recovering from hernia surgery- starting today, so I should have LOTS of free time to work on 'em. :D
  7. I've started on a project to correct the running gear and maybe do some different cammo schemes on the Panzer IV's G/H/ and J. Here's an early rough sketch. The running gear is closer to correct now, but there's still a lot of work to be done. I just figured I'd put an early preview up.

** The tricolor version is close to done I think. May still dirty it up/weather it Schweinestall style. I'm not totally sure if I really like it yet, though, so I thought I'd see what you guys thought. The cammo pattern is a combination of a 12.SS scheme and one from 20.PD that I had color plates of.

*** Here's a pic of the same with the "no Schuerzen" option:

**** Ok... the ambush scheme is just about ready I think. Still needs the skirts finished and the dirt/weathering:

  8. That mod looks good. I believe that model used the 3.5 HP Briggs & Stratton engine though, so it looks like you might be missing the recoil starter and the leaf bagger attachment. I've included a reference pic of the starter from Jentz and Doyle's "Small Garden Tillers and Riding Lawnmowers of the Second World War" if you decide to add it.
