  1. 1. Maybe I'm missing something. Is the Stryker in the game database? If not, what do you have that most closely approximates it, and when will you get it in the database? 2. 4.05 patch. Didn't notice anything here about it, but it is available for download. What does it do? Thanks.
  2. I bought SC recently and am having great fun w/it. Playing the Axis from 1939, I haven't won yet but have done better in each of 3 games. I don't want to ask strategy questions, because I want to figure some of these things out on my own, but I have one question: Is there a way to move quickly past the intro music on the initial screen? I click on new game or save game and have to wait a minute for the music to stop. I've tried enter, escape, space, click, etc., nothing works. How do I get past the initial music? As for a comment, I've seen several comparisons of this game to Third Reich. As a longtime wargamer -- longer than you want to know -- I think the game also has similarities to another Avalon Hill game, Hitler's War. Some of you may remember that was a neat little game of WWII Europe with a big emphasis on production and research. Much simpler than Third Reich and not as good, but it was fun to play, at least for me.

  4. I agree with the above descriptions. BCT is a very good game. I've played the ATF demo, but until I get a new computer (I'm running a Dell Celeron 433 w/96mb ram) I'm not going to get ATF. It runs on my computer, but slowly with many pauses. Based on the demo, I would certainly recommend ATF. BCT/ATF and TACOPS do similar things in different ways. TACOPS is wonderful in its simplicity. Just to add a couple, I also have Decisive Action (HPSSimulations) and The Operational Art of War, A Century of Warfare, on my computer.
  5. What are the other things at that site? Palette? Splash?
  6. As a longtime wargamer and retired Army officer, I've always enjoyed modern wargames. However, the WWII wargames are more plentiful and usually better than the modern games. I enjoy TACOPS because it is modern and good. It is the only game that I have kept on my computer for several years in different versions, longer than TOAW, which is also still on my computer.
  7. Likewise in Louisiana. Superb service. Major, add "superb, outstanding, and exemplary delivery service" to your latest OER.
  8. I just wanted to say I'm looking forward to the release of TACOPS 4. I remember sending you an e-mail after I got the Avalon Hill version of TACOPS, telling you how much I enjoyed the game and that I thought you would do well to be associated with AH. Oh, well. Regardless, I find looking at my computer that TACOPS is the only game that has remained on my computer for several years, and after I try other games I always seem to come back to TACOPS. Great game. I'll be sure to get version 4 after it comes out.
