  1. @ wood: before the 1st patch cmbb had the same problem with the amount of immobilized verhicles and gun-damages. at least for my 2 online-matches i have opponents, who saw my desaster with the broken guns. it is no fiction.
  2. @ Sergei: i read official german history of the divisions, no sience fiction. when attacking 3 days, you need more then 1 driver, perhaps the loader drives some hours. just read the manstein AK attacking in teh first days of barbarossa and speak with veterans. myself attacked in cmtc 2 days with only 4 hours of resting, it isnt impossible. btw, german troops got "pervitin" in some cases. @ soddball: i just played some battles pure armor vs the ai and had some 70-80% gun damages. as historical references (there are some more) i propose you: "panzerkampf im bild" by will fey. there is a war diary of a tankcrew (pz4 and panther). the cdr also describes the work of repair coys. in some years of battle no gun-damage was reported - some optics-losts, but in these cases they stayed on battlefield and fired with mgs, targetted through main-gun and "looked dangerous". in some years of battle never happened the things i saw in cmak in 2 battles vs human opponent and some more vs ai.
  3. i know this about autocannons. my tanks were fired and gun-damaged by first turret-hit by tank-mainguns, esp 37mm, 75mm, 76mm.
  4. at least the german tanks with highspeed mainguns could target the enemy without optics, if nesseraliy. but this isnt the important fact. i asked, why suche extremous high numbers of tanks in cmak get a gun-damage by first hit (the stugs without turrets dont have this problem), in a small, 30 min battle, when i couldnt find any remarks about this in the literature? with such behavior of tanks you could never attack 3 days without resting (as described in ww2), when all tanks lose their guns in first 30 min when seeing an enemy.
  5. i just saw a jackson (MY ! jackson) kill itself by a shot at 26m!. so its possilbe, that your guys killed themsevels.
  6. 100% to 10% is a little bit more then just "bad luck". i wrote about german books and german tanks, there i couldnt find this specific problem, and i played as german. in the us-case i dont know the right numbers.
  7. i can remember cmbb starting with worth hit-% and tanks getting too fast immobilized and too fast gun damaged. i got cmak yesterday and played until now 2 online-matches. something i recognized as strange things. all tanks i lost, got a gun-damage before getting killed. every turret-hit damaged the gun immadiately. i tested it against the ai. nearly every hit damaged the gun. in books about ww2 i never read about gundamages as real problem in repair-coys; the real problem there were about engines and small pieces lost by arty. so my questions is: when we will get the first patch? thx, hopefully.
  8. the pz4 was built as support-tank with a short 75mm gun. the pz3 insteadd for fighting enemy tanks with a 37mm gun. because of heavier gun and bigger turret, the pz4 had a more powerful engine and a bigger hull. so the pz4 has 8 "laufrollen" (wheels), and the pz3 only 6 on every side. same with the stug-convertion.

  10. hi it isnt gamey to use as many as possible FOs when playing allies. only thatswhy they can kill something *g*
  11. in my opinion no force built with combined weapons, could be gamey. so i would never buy some 300mm-rochket-spotters, but i would never be angry, if one of my opponents would do so. on german side, i use only one type of infantry: veteran sturmkompanie. one coy has the price of around 700 points, but it is worth every of them. you have to add panzerschrecks or kuebel+pueppchen for at-ability. a sturmkompanie is the only unit in cmbo, which is worth do get bought as veteran. you can assault enemies positions with every platoon more then only one time each. all other inf-platoons arent able to attack twice. in nearly 200 matches against human players i lost only 2 sturm-platoons.
  12. hi the leopard 2 doesnt carry he, only some heat. reasons for heat are explained allready. and hesh wa re-introduced for kosovo. the serbians drove around with old t34 and t55 and in firing a ke on this its whole waste of it, hesh is enough. its also taken for fortified posisiton like houses or atg-foxholes.
  13. hi, magnum seeking in germany for battle-locations isnt that simple, because most battles with german forces were fought in other countrie or in the old, bigger germany (1756-1914). but here are some suggestions: 1. in munster, between hamburg and hannover you can find the panzermuseum, its the best. its located beside the german armored-forces-school. 2. in kuestrin-kietz, you can find another very good museum and the real battle ground for seelow hights. 3. in st.vith (not germany) can find a musuem about the ardenne-battle. only some ideas if more questions, you can contact me

  15. :confused: please see this pictures. they were taken in a normal match. my infantry is assaulting a stronpoint, seeing enemy and firing. 1. 2. 3. my questions are: 1. how do you want to abandon a infantry-HQ? 2. Why the quad is firing area-fire without order and without recognized enemy? thx for your help
  16. in my opinion the mg42 was the best. i shot in real life with it any thousends rounds and you hit very well and its a great feeling.
  17. i see no problem with the 519 tank-kills. airforce, esp. fighters didnt play so huge role on the eastfront, so he had not to be so affraid of enemies fighters. the russian produced really many tanks get get more delifered by usa and uk. against a 37mm from air the well armored t34 is very vulnerable on the top. 2530 sorties with 519 tank-kills mean only 1 kill in 5 lights, that isnt impossible, because tanks arent alone on battlefiedl. when you see 1 t34, you know, the is a whole coy. and you see them all from air, smoke doesnt protect.
  18. small guns were never leveled in german army, but only artillery-pieces for indirect fire and 88flak for firing against airtargets. the 88flak could fire without unlimbering and leveling, but the hitchances were low at big distance without umlimbering. leveling you need only for indirect fire.
  19. hi, john i understand the low rotation-speed for heavy guns, but for i dont. but worse is in my opinion, that a gun needs much time after moving for next shot. if you pull a light gun like pueppchen, atg37 or so by hand, you should have the next shot after only 5 seconds. (also in this case i talked with veterans from ww2)
  20. @ jason: nice ideas with my leopard 2 i never rotate on one place except on streets. in open terrain i allways make the turns in motion.
  21. i forgot: sure, cmbb is far more better in graphics then cmbo, but this game lives from its realism. nice graphics are in most games
  22. i think, cmbo is nearly perfect, but cmbb is a step back. so i am interested in a step forward in cmak.
