  1. Hi Hubert Thanks for clearing that up for me.
  2. Thanks for the answer Hubert, I've just been reading the manual again re experience and it states that the max xp level is 10. As the max number of levels displayed in the game is 4 does the combat calculator take levels over 4 into consideration?
  3. Yeah Spain is a real dilemma for me, if you take it and Vichy, Africa will get full production plus you can get the Italian fleet into the Atlantic. It also gives the Italian fleet a lot of xps but then you might not get any of the normal allies to join you. In my last game I only got Finland when my troops were at the gates of Lenningrad.
  4. The manual talks about giving units +0.2 XP for attacking and +0.5 xp for an attack victory. I'm guessing that an attach victory is the killing blow or is it just inflicting more casualties than you take, can anyone confirm or deny this point pls. Thanks
  5. Good Work Fubarno, that info about the spotting ranges is excellent.
  6. I to would just like to thank Hubert for all his efforts on the forums and within the game. It far exceeds what I have seen on the other forums that I frequent.
  7. Thanks for the new stuff Jim, I am really looking forward to trying it out on the full verion of SC that came in todays mail
  8. Remind me never to play against your in a PBEM game Norse as I'm using jmbunnelles mod my army only has 2 men in it. So your army must be 50% better that mine
  9. Schutze, I'll try and answer your questions. I can't see the question but I'm assuming that you think planes aren't that great against ships? As you have the demo try moving the French fleet up to bombard the germans in the low countries. The French fleet gets decimated by the land based bombers every time. Yes I'd take that as give also. I'm assuming again that you feel that the RAF is over performing in this game? I just can't see this as from my point of view Strat bombing is costing the Bristish more (in terms of production) that the Germans and I feel that is accurate. They are critical they boost readiness and supply for friendly units, but you are right they can't be assgned to friendly units, the units that they get are chosen by the computer I think you have to think about the big picture, a sub counter isn't a sub it could represent 20-100 subs (Italy in 1940 had over 100 subs but only gets the one counter). While a battleship counter is 1-2 BB and few CL and a dozen DD. I see the costs as about right and well balanced in terms of game play. I've tried do that way too It makes sense thou you have an experienced unit at half strength and strengthen it with green troops it doesn't mater if you strength in slowly or quickly unless you see combat your still going to have a unit of 50% vets and 50% greens. I hope that helps.
  10. If you want to know why the French lost so Quickly you dont' have to go past looking at that map One little Belgian Division against all that. Just one question thou, what game is that pic/map from? [ August 16, 2002, 02:42 AM: Message edited by: Kiith ]
  11. Well you asked for some Ideas on units so heres a couple. The PZL 11 was used by the poles and the upgun24 by a few other countries. For the axis you could have the Fait CR32 for spain or the Fokker DXXI in finnish markings mainly to keep CMV happy as for the other high end fighters I'd look to the Saabs for the allies. I can't think of any tanks other then the 7TP? from the poles and a captured T26 for the finns. I'm looking forward to your finished mod as I've been using it and adding national insignia for the different nations and force branches. Happy Moding
