  1. If 2 new army corpse would be sufficient to neutralize a partisan unit, then fine... But how many armies do you think were used in the real world to suppress a single partisan unit. I spent 2-3 months reducing a single partisan unit, and couldn't finish it of with my corpses. Had to bring in half the army. So I suggest that partisan groups should be less of a match for army units, a movement value of one and that it shouldn't be possible for them to reinforce themselves with more than +1 strength each turn. The threat of partisans itself would be enough to garrison all occupied cities in Yugo and Russia. If you do so, the menace should be contained. Maybe it should be possible to purchase cheaper second rate garrison troops as well? Security and police divisions...
  2. Who the **** would play an honest game with a lawyer!!!?? <G> Sorry about that, couldn't resist myself Bare send meg en mail så kan me kjøre i gang et game!)
  3. Hehe I think we are of the same opinion on this matter Rediroc. Posted my 'anti partisan' thread 2 min after you. Nuisance, true - military menace? Not really... Second rate troops were usually enough to subdue em and they were relatively immobile. Yugoslav partisans wanted to liberate.....Yugoslavia, not conquer Germany or liberate Prague, lol!
  4. I think the partisans are far to mobile! They shouldn't have more than 1 in movement rating. In my last game I had more troops killing of partisans than conquering Moscow When partisans arrive they sweep towards the nearest unoccupied city or mine and occupies them. Once they captured Kiev, the garrison was out hunting...partisans <G>. Had to divert an HQ, army and 2 corps to kill the bugger. Another time the partisans raced into Belgrade and 'liberated'!!! Yugoslavia'. Again I had to use huge forces to get rid of the bug. Prague got occupied TWICE.... I really enjoy the game, but I'll consider turning off the partisan option if it isn't improved. They were a nuisance on both manpower and supply, but with the exception of maybe Warzaw, they didn't perform anything like this. What do the rest of you think?
  5. I'm a litte surprised at how little security there is on SC!! You don't need the disc to play the game, and there is no copy protection. Crackers do what they want, but why make it easy? The more work there is to copy a game the less pirate copies there will be around! Busy playing my first full 39 campaign... Normal difficulty, just captured Moscow in 11\42 and Leningrad is about to fall.
  6. The postman did an excellent job : ) Got a nice little package in the box today! When I ordered UV a couple of months ago I paid more for its express delivery than I did for SC!!! I got that one real early to....but the entire cd was bent and didn't work:p So it was with a little obsternation that I saw that the SC cover was broken, lots of tiny pieces fell to the floor followed by the top cover:o Fortunately the cd worked and I'm rolling!! As a die hard buff I'd sell my grandmothers old watch to pay what it takes to get a long awaited strat game express delivered <G> Not played SC for quite some time, been through the demo a few times, but I like to save it all for the real thing! Remember it took me quite some time to win COS on the hardest settings and occupy every country on the map by 45. I hope that it'll be even more difficult in SC!!! : ) Thanx to all of the developers, keep up the good work!
  7. A couple of weeks ago I didn't even know about SC, then I suddenly 'found' the demo A most pleasent surprise! I've been through all major WWII strategy games over the last 15 years, and this looks really neat! My first thoughts went to COS, but there is a lot more to SC! Can't say how delighted it is to find another great WWII game without fancy 3D and graphics! That's NOT what I want anyway I've been through another 'wait' not long ago, so fortunately I can play Uncommon Valor while waiting for SC!! Keep up the good work
