Yes very odd, but I just attributed it to a boneheaded AI move. The gross overstrength of the Luftwaffe in '44 worries me more.

Insteresting screenshot apparently depicting the 1944 scenario. From the looks of it German air strength seems to be way to high, but thats just a initial observation.

The very fact that the reviewer states that this is a "overly complicated game" shows that he is not a strategy buff.
Apparently the updated demo/game is finished, so where is that announcement we were promised?

God I really hate computer game company's release dates. They are always building hype and they are never accurate. :mad: Lets not forget, the latest update happened 6/29, a Saturday, so its not like the update must happen during the week.

I played EUI and II and love them both. You better believe I am counting the minutes to the release of HOI.
I am afraid that it wont be out until Christmas at the earlist though, as it just entered Beta this month.SC will be a good game to play until then and it will always have its nook in the quick multiplayer game area.

I think for political reasons alone the Alliess should not be able to disband Free French units.

Well I think its silly that the partisans have the same ZOC as a normal army unit. It should only be able to control the hex it is in. Also Youg. Partisans invading Southern Germany and Hungry is silly, as I have seen them do many times.

I have never had the allies make agressive attacks against Italy except via the navy. Nothing more than the ocassional air attacks from malta.
Edit: I usually use Italy to invade and occupy southern Russia. With all the Partisans wondering about, you have to garrison every city you take. I think Russian resistance is a bit much in 1940 and 41. Perhaps it should increase in 42 and 43 but I digress.
I also find it easier not to invade Yougoslavia. Even when the pro-allied coup takes them in the war against you, they never invade anything. They just all retreat and defend their capital.

I think he meant like in High Command the winter and blizzard weather would slow German units to a crawl. I also noticed that missing from the game and was a bit dissapointed.

The game I played today had a free French infantry unit defending Malta.
Another anomaly I noticed was I invaded Tunisia with Italian infantry before France surrendered. When France surrendered that Italian unit just vanished! It wasn't withdrawn back to Libya...

Am I the only one getting poor transfer rates or fluctuating rates (from under 1.xxkb/sec to 3+kb)?
I can understand if the server is overloaded, but this seems strange. I have tried like 5 times now all with the same results.
