  1. Thanks for your reply- I tried the drivers you suggested but nothing changed... Do you know where to get any of the hacked nvidia drivers you mentioned? The Toshiba homepage only offered some outdated standard nvidia drivers for my graphics card...
  2. I have the same problem with all cm games- I use a toshiba satellite notebook with a geforce fx go 5600. It somehow helped when I decreased the monitor frequency, but the game's still unplayable.
  3. Sad thing is that I AM in Europe- UK to be precise- but no signs of CMAK at game or virgin or whichever shop I tried... most guys there never even heard of something called combat mission...

  6. Is there a list of the different units included in CMAK? Please give a guy a bone who has desperately tried to get a copy of the game for five days now

  9. Still no response from Amazon- I think I'll cancel it and check Game again, otherwise I'll just order it directly...
  10. I was experiencing severe performance problems with all CM-games on my laptop just until yesterday when I deleted the settings file for the cmak demo and changed the resolution dialogue until I got a monitor frequency of 60hz. Although the performance still isn't perfect, especially when there are many target lines and unit sockets displayed at the same time, it's at least playable now
  11. I ordered it there yesterday, and although they said it has been released, the estimated shipping time is one or two weeks- TWO WEEKS??? I didn't find CMAK at Game or other software shops either...
  12. I give up- I did everything you guys suggested, but still no change. Thanks for the help and the many replies anyway! Can't wait to get back to my desktop over christmas...
  13. I used a self made scenario in the smallest size that was possible, without any trees, steppe, bushes or anything- the only units were a tiger and a t34 and the framerate was still way below 10fps. I got the impression, that the game was also considerably slower in the map editor when I changed the size of the map for instance. I'm using the newest nvidia drivers right now, but believe me- I tried all of them!
  14. I lowered down everything- the amount of soldiers displayed, the tree density, i even installed a low res grass set- and although there is a slight improvment the game is still unplayable. AND I JUST GOT A GOOD INTERNET CONNECTION FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE!!! Don't know much about my Chipsets- but it's a Toshiba Satellite notebook, Windows XP with directx 9b.
  15. Thanks for the compassion guys- I'm absolutely desperate now- I used the nvidia file remover, updated directx, and tried out tons of different nvidia drivers. Still no improvement... Somehow the issue seems connected with the display of target and movement lines and unit sockets- if there are many of these around, the performance gets even worse.
  16. Hi there! Sorry to bring this up again, but I can't get cmbb to run on my laptop at a descent framerate- I've tried all nvidia drivers that were suggested in the faq, but it's always the same... Right now I have 52.16 installed. I have a GForce FX Go-5600 and a P IV 2200. Can someone help me???
  17. Does anyone know why a Russian captured Panther is cheaper than its German equivalent? This seems to be the case for most captured equipment in the game...
  18. @Gaylord Focker Oh my god, who's that painter guy in your post above? I've seen him a couple of times on a Turkish channel of German television, always painting foggy lakes and explaing his techniques in turkish! THIS MAN IS SOOOOOOO COOL  Love his hair!
