The real life tactics I was thinking of was shooting your enemy at a range where your sights work well and his doesnt......call me logical. If you are saying that the effect is minimal, then I'll ignore it in future....

I have just been handed my butt on a plate in my first CMAK tank joust - I tried to use my german long range optics to stand off and hit his armour, but saw an amazing level of misses whilst he seemed to hand me my arse on a plate with valentines. Is trying to use this RL tactic not worthwhile in CMAK?

I was trying to take down some KV2s with PIIIS, STUG Bs, and a couple of PZ1s, and had varied success. Anyone care to tell me if the sheer terror effect of bouncing 8 rounds a minute of the shells is modelled into making the crew bail out, even if penetration is not possible? At the very least I would expect bleeding ears!!

But I have run packs of conscript t34s against tiger platoons and won...as long as you give them a long enough run, some of them get those all important flank and rear shots.....

If you want to feed the troll.....email the magazine to get the authors details for that article (explain you are doing research yourself) - magazines usually keep lists of who they pay for writings for a looonnngg time - then track him down via the usual googlefun and ask him whether he based it on any other papers...hey presto, possible link back to p51D. Although of course you might get shot from a grassy knoll for being so nosey.

Played a great game last night which i scraped a win in, but got very annoyed with an enemy sov maxim team who merrily sat in the middle of a burning hex of 'woods' for about 14 turns. they eventually moved out and had two men left (so it wasnt a case of immobilisation) but how come they stayed so long? marshmallows?

I have a battle of normandy map I picked in in france last month that shows the original terrain and details of the dates of fights in each town/village. I'll send it free to the first person in the UK who emails me and says they want it.

I had this situation once - get your 150mm in a point that they can area fire onto the flag, then let the enemy take it whilst keeping the guns on HIDE. When the time is right, area fire him into lickle pieces.

Question for all you grogs - I am playing a game against the Salmon empire in the ONIONWARS - www.onionwars.net - and I have a couple of PAK38s facing off against t34s. three 50mm's have been firing at 5 t34s at ranges of 550m+.
Now, my brave gunners have one kill, and one gun hit - but they refused to use the handful of T rounds they have. The t34s have now fled the field. My questions are:
1) Are Salmon collective players naturally cowards?
2) Why dont AT guns use the most effective penetration shell after a 'testing' hit?

My problem is an odd one - I have several games of CMBO and CMBB running by email. I have to keep swapping the blimmin CDs over again and again as they wont both sit in the CD drives (I have two) and both work.
Any ideas?

Thanks for all this guys. So are we saying then that the tankkiller AFVs such as the Marder is not much use in AK as the raneg benefits only kick in at 1500m+ plus, but most maps dont have this sort of terrain setup?
