  1. Move then Reverse is useful if you want a tank to move to the top of a ridge, fire, then move back down before the enemy can shoot back. With Hunt, the tank will stop when it acquires a target, and usually stay there and keep shooting.
  2. Spring-loaded? Until I saw Troopers' clarification, I was wondering: "what is this thing, some kinda giant slingshot?"
  3. Thanks, Stixx. That works; I think my mistake earlier was using "hunt." Using this method, two Shermans in different positions, and a flamethrower unit as distraction, I can usually take out the pillbox without losing either tank, or even the flamethrower unit. I don't think pillbox gun size would make much difference, either, since it usually couldn't get any kind of hit.
  4. IRL, if you developed a reputation for kiling prisoners, it would tend to make the enemy reluctant to surrender. But hey, if you wanted your enemies to fight with suicidal courage, that'd be fine.
  5. I've played the "Valley of Trouble" scenario against the AI a lot, both sides. There's a 75mm AT gun vs. Shermans. With multiple Shermans it's not hard to take it out, even at long range. The AI does a trick I haven't been able to get my tanks to do, though. The tank will move up, fire once, then move back out of LOS to reload, usually putting smoke right in front of itself.
