  1. Those stripes on the back of the helmets denote leaders. Generally, vertical for officers, horizontal for NCO's. Do you want every soldier to be a leader ! The way CM is designed, the same graphics are used over and over. If you add a feature to the "helmet cover" BMP, it will turn up all over US troops, not just leaders. RenoFlame 36 - They can run, but they'll only die tired.
  2. Looks good. How about a version with desert tires for the Afrika Korps ?
  3. How about Steiner ? Don't leave out Sgt. Rock from the old GI Combat Comics. How about a German officer with a dueling scar and a cigarette holder ?
  4. Have to chime in on this one. Preparing positions implies you are going to stay put for a while. What I enjoy the most about CM is the constant flow and movement of the situation. You can go from hero to zero in one 60 second period.
  5. "Playing the System" was a problem with combat simulations from day one. I saw the same arguments about board games. You can either play for fun or for blood. There will always be players who can't enjoy the past time without taking advantage of all the loop holes.
  6. I think the role of Snipers has been mis interpreted due to popular fiction. They are most valuable as a means of controlling movement. Once they have made a "kill", members of the victim's unit will be reluctant to enter the area. There will be the occaisional "score" against a high ranking officer, but, these tend to be targets of opportunity. Think about how you handle them in CM. Do you ignore them ?
