  1. Blackvoid, I think there is some more figuring for you to do. If you were to strictly play games where its a flat field and all armor, maybe you have a point. But I think the histircal value of these and more vehicles is not figured into your thinking. Your making assumtions that certain tanks are Ubertanks, which is not correct. I'll para phrase from you myself. "If used correctly.." Thats the thing. Used correctly, you can stop a Churchill, a Panzer, anything. You don't just quit a scenario because one side has a Tiger or a Pershing. The art is being in total command of a "force", not just a tank. Learn the "art of war", and you'll see the true strength of a force is how they are used and applied, not just who has the biggest tank. ------------------ John "Hedu" Babarovich, Jagdeschwader 26, Warbirds
  2. Before you post about the uber strength of one side or the other in CM, please weigh the basis of you post. To someone who plays strictly German armor, who all of a sudden after an issued patch runs into some bad luck and has Allied armor wax him, you may have the need to be vocal about "balance". Same for am Allied player in the same boat. The thing is, and I have expereinced this for a great many years in Warbirds, is that a lot of times AI and combat situations have such random parameters that things happen that don't seem right, but probably are. Also, it is neccasary to know that trying to reproduce an exact situation to see if results are "skewed" are a longshot at best. A great deal of testing, repeated over and over, are needed just to flesh out if their is a problem at all. Even at that attempt, the tools needed to reproduce accurate testing is not had by the normal player in most cases. In a sim like this, with angles and thickness of armor, and the application of "fuzzy logic" to create randomness and fog of war, it is VERY hard to be able say one side or the other has some sort of unrealistic advantage. DISCLAIMER:I am not saying that no one has a valid point about things of this nature, as you may be correct. But testing is the proof of the pudding, and testing needs to be complete and unbiased, which alot of us can be one but not the other, espacially in a WWII sim. My 2 cents, from experience... ------------------ John "Hedu" Babarovich, Jagdeschwader 26, Warbirds
  3. Why does ANYONE get bent out of shape over a harmless and slightly funny post? I'm hopeing to see an espresso stand mod soon, cause I'll spend the entire scenario blasting them to rubble. ------------------ John "Hedu" Babarovich, Jagdeschwader 26, Warbirds
  4. go here http://www.digitalinnovations.com/ and see this These will save your valuable CD's, and CM has got to be one of the more valuable in anyone's collection. I AM NOT an employee, just a very satisfied customer. ------------------ John "Hedu" Babarovich, Jagdeschwader 26, Warbirds
  5. please go here http://www.digitalinnovations.com/ and see this Please don't make me repeat myself. This is the answer you seek. Everyone should have one. ------------------ John "Hedu" Babarovich, Jagdeschwader 26, Warbirds
  6. Hey, there is a CD scratch fixer called game doctor for about $29. I got one and brought CD's BACK FROM THE DEAD. My friend who works at Bad Animals recording studio in Seattle uses the motorized version for about $20 more. I HIGHLY recommend it, that is if your scratch is on the bottom of the CD. Give me a ring if you got any questions about the product. ------------------ John "Hedu" Babarovich, Jagdeschwader 26, Warbirds
  7. Bullethead, you are the man. That was it, I could not for the life of me think of the name. Gonna look for it now, see if anyone still has it. Thanks a cool million! ------------------ John "Hedu" Babarovich, Jagdeschwader 26, Warbirds
  8. No, wasn't H & D, i know that. The graphics were more like CM, wasn't so much like H&D or any of those 1st person shooters. ------------------ John "Hedu" Babarovich, Jagdeschwader 26, Warbirds
  9. This is not a troll, and the game/demo I remember wasn't as good as CM, but there was a first person (kinda) game just like this. I remember the one mission in the demo caused you to cross a bridge while air support was hitting a target. You ran through a town and across the bridge, all in a half ass 1st person veiw, but it wasn't like Quake of Doom, it was very WWII detailed. Had a real long ass name too, something that just seemd strange at the time. If you can remember the name of this demo, let me know. I wish I could remember more, I'd look for it.
  10. I just did some work on what I thought was a regular Sherman, turned out to be a Sherman 76. Is there a guide as to what the BMPs go to? CM is a very easy game to make graphic mods for, soemthing that I do for alot of flight sims. So, is there a BMP guide? ------------------ John "Hedu" Babarovich, Jagdeschwader 26, Warbirds
  11. Mine is here, and i am a patchin and a modding! ------------------ John "Hedu" Babarovich, Jagdeschwader 26, Warbirds
  12. I have about 14 downloads waiting for my CM CD to arrive, winter mods and such. Been tought waiting for it, got all these mods and the patch waiting to install! Good to see all the Warbirds guys, I would have to believe they are the cream of the crop! ------------------ John "Hedu" Babarovich, Jagdeschwader 26, Warbirds
  13. Fenris! Horrido! Can't wait to play this game! Have you played multiplayer? How is the whole thing? ------------------ John "Hedu" Babarovich, Jagdeschwader 26, Warbirds
  14. Is there a problem with shipping? Been a little over a week, and I saw a few posts about shipping problems. I love the demo and am up nights waiting for CM to arrive. Was just wondering if there were shipping probs I didn't know about. ------------------ John "Hedu" Babarovich, Jagdeschwader 26, Warbirds
