1. how 'bout this? BOOOOM!!!!"......................................................................................................................................................................... Damn."
2. yeah, if it's the history channel one, our teacher let us watch it in class. It showed some of the only color footage of D-Day that exists (if not all). Did anyone watch the Shooting War documentary with Tom Hanks? They told a story about how all the D-Day photos were given to a beachmaster. When he went to climb on on of the boats, he dropped the sack and ALL the photos were ruined. That's why the footage of it is so rare.
3.
quote:
Originally posted by stic.man: furthermore: "..This simulates the occasional scrounging of ammo of the battlefield as well as exchanging the last few clips between squad members."

Does this mean that your infantry can scrounge ammo from dead teammates, or do you just mean they do it between the squad? If the former, is true, how do you do it? Thanks for all the replies Matt
4. If I think what I know what youre talking about, then the problem is easy. For artillery, you don't have to have a LOS to use it. Without proper LOS though, your accuracy and time of deployment decreases. I just hope this is what you're asking.
5. When my MG's say they have LOW ammo, what does that mean? Is it possible to get more? Do they conserve for very critical moments? I don't have the full game, so I can't use the manual for reference. Is there a copy of the manual online somewhere? If someone could help me out with any of these questions, I would appreciate it. I am also very sorry for all these "beginner" posts I've been writing, but in order to be good, I gotta know. Thanks, Matt [This message has been edited by Ezmartini (edited 12-21-2000).]
6. i don't want it now that they bombed (no pun intended) the multiplayer aspect. The MP looked so innovative, like flying the escorts and having each person do different tasks, but now it is just single player.
7. already fixed (i sent you two different files, zipped and normal). If you can, sign up for msn messenger so it's easier to stay in touch. "Eat Right, Get Lots of Sleep, Drink Plenty of Fluids, RUN LIKE HELL" - Cross Country motto
8. The most trouble I am having with the missions are assaulting bunkers, and especially pillboxes. I can kill the bunkers with my tanks, but anti-tank pillboxes, in my opinion, are too tough to expose my tanks to for a long time. I mostly want to learn about infantry assaults, but I am willing to learn anything. Sorry, but i also posted this in the general forums.

10. That'd be great, but I can probably only handle one game at a time. I'll give you a ring if i am up to the challenge sometime later.
11. The Chance Encounter mission is too flat, so let's do Valley of Trouble. I don't know your experience, but I like playing as Allies. I say whoever is better defends. If you could inform me on how to PBEM works, that would be great too.
12. That would be great if we can set it up right. I was kind of wondering how the multiplayer aspect of it was, so it would be nice to try it out.
13. Thanks for the warning! I just now noticed that I was a Junior Member. I was wondering how I become a normal Member?
14. I was wondering how difficult some of the full game's missions are compared to the demo's. At first, Valley of Trouble was super-hard for me, but i read some general info on the net and now I beat it with the Allies 91-9 (only 9 KIA)!
15. I REALLY want CM for Christmas, but for now I am stuck with the demo. Due to the lack of a decent manual, i'm sketchy in some areas of the game. I was just wondering how effective the hide command is, because it never works really good for me. In Valley of Trouble, i hide my infantry in foxholes IN woods. However, whenever enemy infantry gets close, they can spot me before my men ambush them (untargeted ambust without marker). I just hope someone can fill me in on some info. Thanks, Matt
