  1. Managed to download your maps and have dipped into them and eyeballed just a fraction. Thay are, frankly, remarkable. Works of art! I can only thank you for taking the time to do these and release them for all to enjoy. From experience, on the rare occasion I've tried my hand at mapping it can be a real pain to finish and oh so time consuming.

    Greatly appreciate your efforts.

  2. Crusader II, Gun Tractor Mk1. Used to tow 17lb At gun. The upper section looks pretty crudely welded on to me as does the welded shut(?) vision port to the right.

    Is this what we're looking at in the picture? The added superstructure above the original hull top has been quickly fastened into place for this purpose? Could it be the original waterproofing around the vision port yet to be removed rather than welded?

    all true but that's not answering the question. Why do the same size crews carry less for the gun with the higher ROF? Logic says faster firing = more bullets required (or at least as many as before)
