Yes. Wonder why. Seems that all the necessary things are there, map import, troop import. However troop import for some reason works only with ended battles. Pitty... On second thought it is probably impossible to avoid some cheating issues with PBEMs.

If you would like to face the exact same troops, you can of course choose the troops for both sides... [/QB]
Also true. But it's just too big hassle. I wanted a simple and quick solution which apparently isn't there.
  2. Hi!

Is it possible to replay a QB from both sides?

Say, you set up a quickie, save it on turn one, and after you've fought it out, say, as Allies, play the exactly same battle from the Axis perspective loading the turn one file?

The manual is scarce on this.

I tried to use the "Load from file" button in the QB map selection dialogue, but it doesn't import any troops.

Does troop import works only with ended battles?

  3. Oh forgive me for posting this topic, cause i've searched...

I have PowerBook G3 (Wallstreet). Few days ago i installed CMBB, but when launching it, it switches from original 1024x768 resolution to 800x600, and then the "800x600 error message" appears.

In one topic i found in this forum, it was told that Classic Rave extension should be removed. I did that, but the problem persists.

    System details:

    PowerBook G3, 233 MHz

128 RAM, ATI Rage LT Pro video card.

    Mac OS 9.2.2.

I beg to differ. The final "e" in "Bozhe" is definetely NOT pronounced as "uh". It's prononced like "e" in... hmm.. "tiger". As for the "lah-ZHEES", it may sound like that when shouting and the word gets "streched". But the normal pronouncation still is "lozhis", with "i" like in "kit".
  5. Hey, that's from "Chetire tankista i sobaka" (Four "tankists" and the dog), one of my favorite books in the childhood... Haven't seen the movie thou.

According to that book, the fourth guy was shooting hull machinegun and operated a radio (also an assistant driver).

I wonder thou, what was he doing when there were no radios in early years T34? The commander of the tank however should've been pretty busy, shooting main gun, commanding the tank, communicating with other tanks via flags and decorating the turret with Christmas tree branches.

  6. Hi!

Just finished an afternoon quickie against AI.

Thanks to heroic effort of 57mm AT gun (3 StuHs, 1 PzIII and a halftrack) and a nice map, i won big time. There were no casualties on my side.

Now, looking at the upper part of AAR screen – Statistics – there are no Allied casualties listed. However, in the lower part - Points - there are 49 points awarded to the Axis, for enemy casualties. Which means that Axis AI gets 4% victory which is gamey, historically incorrect and it hurts my ego.

Is this a common/known issue or there is some logic behind it (like, i've spent lots of ammo killing all these krauts)?

    File is available.

  7. Just need to vent a little bit, and it seems this is appropriate place.

Played a small operation against AI (I was attacking with Germans), and was given Stukas (two of them, i think). On the first pass, Stuka attacked my StuG, knocking it out, pulverizing the HMG team, which was riding on it, and knocking out three 50mm mortars, which were having a smoke nearby. And Company HQ unit suffered three casualties.

But that's not all during the subsequent 5-7 turns the bloody stuka-hamster attacked my infantry squads with cannons and machineguns. I was so happy when it went away...

Lesson: if your airplane attacks you once, be very carefull as it probably will attack you again.

  8. Now it has happened two times in a row.

In two QBs against AI, i've got a "minor defeat, because both sides have agreed to cease fire".

It was around turn 30 out of 40. I was attacking in an all infantry battle, and flags were still under enemy's control (pinned, panicked and broken squads). My morale in one case was up at 88%.

I'm 100% percent sure that i didn't press cease-fire button, and more over, didn't press "YES" in the following dialogue box.

    Very annoying.
