FG42/I & II (Fallschirmjaegewehr) Any "experts" have any info? Thanks in advance. -johnS

The Sturmgewehr is present in many squads. I believe its listed as an assault rifle. Usually there are one or two per squad. The FG42 is just listed as a lite mg in the FJ squads. The mg34 is not included, I would suppose, as it was largely phased out among front-line infantry units by this time. ------------------ Give me hamsters or give me night!

If played as Americans you might want to give the Germans + 25% troops. ------------------ Give me hamsters or give me night!

Africa, Italy, Sicily n France! ------------------ Give me hamsters or give me night!
 4. Mostly the Russians early on, and then the Germans later. I like to play the side w/ the mostist against them! I am really looking forward to playing the allies (Hungarians, Romanians, Italians, Finns). ------------------ Give me hamsters or give me night!
 5. I have read War of the Rats and enjoyed it. I have heard much about Enemy at the Gates but never read it. I wondered if anyone who read both might be able to compare the two. For those interested, I believe that the movie version of "Enemy" is due out Dec 22,2000. There are some good posts on it in the search files. ------------------ Give me hamsters or give me night! 6.
quote:
Originally posted by JOCHEN PEIPER: Thanks for understanding what I was indeed doing... Oh and "General Gavin 82nd AB" if your comment wasnt calling me a NAZI I dont no what is... CHEERS!!!

------------------ Give me hamsters or give me night!
 7.
quote:
Originally posted by The Commissar: You clearly stated that in your opinion,J. Peiper was indeed a Nazi. That's what I replied to.

No, I didn't. ------------------ Give me hamsters or give me night!
 8.
quote:
Originally posted by The Commissar: *sigh* Accusing someone of being a Nazi just because he has an interest in the SS, is the same thing as accusing someone of being a Communist if he is interested in the 6th Guards Mech Corps. In fact, if Jochen is a Nazi, then the BTS devs are too. After all, they must of read a LOT of Nazi literature to do research for this game!

I don't recall accusing anyone of "being" a Nazi. Try reading postings a little better before comenting on them in the future. Thanks for your opinion though. ------------------ Give me hamsters or give me night!
 9. Come on, anyone who has demonstated a clear worship of the SS and their practices does not belong here (ie. J. Peiper) While I respect and appreciate you extreme patience w/ and tolerance of such "persons" your allowing them to remain only further encourages them and their like. Thanks for listening. ------------------ Give me hamsters or give me night!

Very helpful stuff! ------------------ Give me hamsters or give me night!
 11. Anyone have any info on what vehicles would make up a typical armoured recon battalion circa 1944. The only info that I have found so far is on Capt. Paul Grabbners assault on Arnhem bridge in Sept. of 1944. This mentioned 2 pumas, 3 other armoured cars, half-tracks (some 75mm armed) and truck mounted infantry. Nothing much else mentioned. Any hard stats would be appreciated! ------------------ Give me hamsters or give me night!
