I'm on # 10. #8 was no cake walk either! #9 was a refreshing break from the high unit content of previous ones.

This came in a later patch I believe and this is a very helpful feature. Removed much clicking and micro-managing.Originally posted by SgtMuhammed:Right. Click on one of the enemy units and the unit that can see it will be highlighted.

I just finished 7 which I think is Ambush. To me this one has been the hardest so far and my losses were heavy but still pulled out a minor I believe. I advanced to #8 anyway which I havn't started yet. I was afraid of a restart but lucked out. Lost numerous Brad's and both M1's to the damn ATGM's. I was not my usual careful attacker in this one.Originally posted by handihoc:It's gotta be a restart. Damn difficult this one. Enemies everywhere. I'm thinking patience may be the better part of valour here. Going to go in very very slowly while pounding the town with every available air and artillery asset provided.
Anybody else completed 7?
This campaign has been loads of fun!
# 5 is tough but I got a major with some losses and a surrender. I blasted a breach in the CW wall closest to the start zone and just put everything in there as it was available. I kept a few Brad's as overwatch on my left.
I never used air or arty in the CW, just Brad's and eventually M1's and pounded the CW endlessly. I pounded the SCUD sites with air/arty latter and once CW was 100% captured this caused the auto surrender. I lost maybe 6 or so Brad's though this and various infantry. Nothing compared to my losses in # 7 though... Yikes.
Thought I should add I play in RT too.

This was a fun one and so different from others. Thanks for doing this.

Started this one George and a nail biter as usual and what a awesome map and situation. Thanks for doing this.
But where is Obj Elk? Can't seem to find it on the actual map but have an idea from the Tactical one.
What version are you playing? It should be OK in version 7 (I think there was a wee glitch in an earlier version which I quickly changed).
Cheers fur noo

Color = Colour? and so on and so on.
Same people separated by a common language I think is the old saying.
I always love your work George even if the English is wrong.
Still need the time to play this one though as it has got to be good.
Cheers

Thanks for doing this sir. Is there any difference between the two files you posted on CMMOD's?
These .brz files sure making using mod's easy! Much better than changing individual files like the CMx1 days. Kudos to BFC on this point.

I've had no problems so far in three different campaigns as long as I start with the new patch in a new battle within the campaign and not start mid-stream in a battle. Maybe I got lucky I dont know.
-
Impressive list and can't wait to take it for a spin. Wow...
-
Not sure I can wait... !

This sure looks like a good one and I need to try but I have been hesitant to play of late because of the low wall bug. Is this campaign "low wall" friendly so to speak?
Your PDF file alone impressed me and looking forward to it. Thank you for your time and efforts in advance.

The first Grass Mod. Brings tears to my eyes... Seriously, nice job.
-
Thanks guys! Better way indeed.

I'm back to playing again. Thanks BFC.

Seems Strykers have two Javelins available now in the Acquire list but when infantry Acquire the two I get three. Maybe I missed something here but repeatable and I don't recall this in 1.04.
-
In the new Guard the Flank scenario (good one by the way). USA infantry in building. I never moved them that I know of. The action for ALL (IIRC) the units in the squad rapidily toggles back and forth between spotting/planning. I can't move this unit
I can send a Save if needed.

Same for me. Gone. I have Nvidia 7950GX2. Splashscreen that is.

I had tried one specific set of "beta" drivers which caused the mentioned missing splash screen.Originally posted by SlapHappy:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by Cpl Steiner:
I got it working in 1.03 by enabling Triple Buffering but since 1.04 I have reverted to default card settings (apart from x2AA/x4AF) and it is still working. Don't know what's changed - the drivers or the game?
Since moving to 163.71 the problem has disappeared. </font>

I saw this in 1.03 Hammertime and one of the guys in the squad said "planning" constantly and they would not move at all. Should be fixed in 1.04 though I thought but maybe not even your issue either. My past experience anyway.Originally posted by Garm:I am also quite happy with this patch. But I just played the scenario "Hammertime" and saw something which seems to be a bug (although I have seen this in earlier versions of the game, too). Two squads of mine where rested & ready I wanted to move them. I tried several commands (move, quick, fast) but after a second or so, the movement indicator disappeared and the squads where not moving at all. Does anybody know this problem?

Still an issue with 1.04 but not a big issue.

I was a WEGO guy too and thought I would never change. I played a small scenario as RT one time and have been hooked ever since. You can always stop the action and the scenario's just play quicker and have more suspense and control to me.Originally posted by sgtgoody (esq):Ok, I know I have stated many times that I am too old and slow to mess with real time. But I finally decided to give it a shot. So I started playing the campaign. If you are going to jump in you might as well make it with both feet.
I like it. I have much more control over fire distrubution and can take control of my guys before they do something too stupid.
I think some of the really big scenarios will have to be WEGO but I think I will be able to live with this.
I do wish there was an option to play back the last few seconds for those "What the hell was that?!" moments.
Of course, you do miss some action and have to watch for 1.03 oddities but that soon will be gone as an issue I suspect.

I agree with that! We are in niche hobby here and if BFC didn't do this type of game, who would?Originally posted by WW2Wargamer:In one of my posts, i stated that with all the negative posts that the board is hurting our Hobby! So please stop posting the same thing over and over. Give this great independent wargaming company a chance. Also stop crying about the price. Thats what happens when evrything is negative. They will fix CMSF.
Thanks
Nobody, including BFC, can say they are happy with the initial release but history shows these guys will get it right and the immaturity on the forum never ceases to amaze me. I don't get the point honestly of all the constant negativity for the pure sake of just being rude and immature. Common on many forums unfortuneatly as it is too easy to be nasty on a forum without any consequences for your actions.

Just finished up with a Total Victory using RT play. Was great fun though the last one was laggy for me and never had that problem before on my machine. Was actually more units (maybe too many) in this one than I needed or could control! I liked the little "flavor" entry surprise that I won't say.
Great job and thanks again. Many hours of fun on your campaign.
