  1. The manual says 'Insert disk and double click setup.exe' Where is it? I tried Start-Run-Cmbb Installer. The computer locked up, with the CD drive speeding up then slowing, then speeding, etc, etc. So I tried explorer, again clicking on CMBB Installer, the only choice. I got the message

"D:\CMBB Installer.exe The directory name is invalid." What's the deal? Every other disk I run works just fine.

  3. I'm on about turn 12 or so of my first PBEM (I can never remember to check the turn number) What I've done up till now is get a file and give orders, then get another file and watch the replay, new file, watch, new file, orders. But tonight I got a watching file and, before I sent it back, I saw that I could bring up the orders menu. Will somebody point out what is contained in each file transfer, how many kinds there are, and what options I have for each file I receive? Thanks, Richard.

  4. My first exposure to Fionn was back before CM was released. This is, in fact, the first forum I ever visited, the first I ever registered at. Almost at once Fionn stood out. Obnoxious, insulting, haughty, combative, rude. (Not as much as Madmatt but nearly so.) I thought the guy was a jerk and was glad to see him banned. Now he is restored to the board and I can see what led him to that state of affairs. He figures again prominantly in many threads. Some are decidedly provocative, almost taunting. Even if it is all in good fun I can see how it might chafe against his patience, and his temper. I can understand a little better now why he might have snapped back at some perceived slight. Fionn, I may have misjudged you. My apologies.
