A lot of you are pathetic. I came on this board to discuss CM, and you go off on me for my opinions because I dislike Nazis? My first Topics, were: 1) FNG - Hello, I like this game; 2) Major John Howard; and 3) Fuzzy Logic in CM. In 2 and 3, I get "blasted" for my signatures and profile of how I find Nazis reprehensible. And you expect me to be "silent?" Some of these screen names are offensive to me. But hey, you guys are the hypocrites. I am not allowed to find anything offensive. Pathetic! I did some major research in Baysian Networks and Expert Systems. You have to understand that "AI" really doesn't exist. What does exist are expert systems, which is what the "AI" in CM really is. I'd like to find out if they truly used "fuzzy logic" which Lafti developed. I'm not a fan of "fuzzy logic" as I found it limiting in versatility. However, after soul searching, I became a "fan" of Bayesian Networks, which is based on Bayes Theorem. Regarding my "we defeated Germany comment," I am referring to all those people that took up arms against Germany. I do not understand why it is "unwelcome," as it is a historical fact. however, I will change it to accommodate others. Some of you guys crack me up. You want me to "accept" some of the "enthusiasm" some of you show for one of the most heinous nations ever to exist on the face of the earth? Many of you are moaning about "were I stand" regarding Germany (i.e., my profile), and those that fought for it. Many of you are trying to "enlighten" me to "accept" the Germanophile attitude that is prevalent here. Okay, if I've "offended" any of you that are Germanophile, I apologize for expressing my opinions regarding Nazi Germany. I understand that I need to fall in line with the rest of you, and just follow orders and accept things… you have the numbers and argue from that position. (sounds familiar, eh?) A lot of people think the German Generals were great, with sweeping victories across the steppes of Ukraine and Russia. That is simply not the case. Since Hitler was dead, any human being, such as a Germnan general, would want to protect his "ego." So he blamed Hitler for his failures. I composed the message off-line, but didn't get the cut, copy, paste right. You are right. I think it is a good game, and it's too bad about the editor. An understandable limit. I had to laugh when I read the AI uses "fuzzy logic" in the manual. Game AI has come a long way, and "fuzzy logic" is used so much now a days, haphazardly, that people don't even know what fuzzy logic is. In fact, we all know AI is impossible (at least today). What has developed however is what is called "expert systems" which takes a narrow domain, and works only within that realm. Baysian Networks has proven very productive over the last 10 years in expert systems. So, how can I find out more about this "fuzzy logic" used in CM? Who can I discuss the programming methods used, and what type of Game Theory was applied? Thanks in advance! ------------------ Doc

I'm not sure that this has ever been covered before, so if it has, I apologize now. Anyway, I noticed some errors in the Ham and Jam scenario. I figure since CM is at v 1.04, it would have been corrected if anyone noticed them before. Anyway, Major John Howard (has it really been 2 years already since he passed away?) is identified in the unit ID box as "Cpt" Howard. With all due respect, he was a great soldier, and should be identified with his correct rank. I'm sure if someone noticed "Major" Piper, it's be changed ASAP. SPOILER X X X X X X X X X X X Additionally, the AT Gun at the bridge was in fact the 5cm PaK38, not the 7.5cm depicted. Although the change to the correct AT Gun will make little difference in scenario balance (it usually gets whacked right away), it should be corrected for historical accuracy.
