  1. Years ago PBS ran a series called "Piece of Cake." Its available on DVD now and is about a British figher Squadron from Sept 1939 to Sept 1940. I would have to say this may be my favorite WWII movie...its 6 hours and I find that I watch it about once a year. The characters are great and the flying sequences are quite good for a BBC series. If I could only keep one WWII movie/series, this would be it. A Midnight Clear would run second but its not on DVD yet.
  2. It would be great to have a comprehensive game. Would love to see it start 1939 so you could have Poland vs Germany scenarios. Poles had one tank that was excellent. I think having the minor forces really fleshes out the game. One reason I love the Campaign Series. Hopefully one day we will get the West Front 1940-1944
  3. Oh, yes, stupid me...thats how you can "save" a map and use it again. Joe
  4. I am working on an operation and wonder if there is a way to save maps so they can be used for multiple scenarios. Seems like a lot of work if you can only use a map you create for one scenario or operation but I can not see how to save a map only. Secondly, in an operation after the first battle can ALL enemy units redeploy to any color deployment area or do they stay in the original color they were assigned to? I have used all three colored deployment areas but if they can freely deploy after the first battle than that defeats my purpose of using all three deployment areas. Anyone out there know the answer? Thanks
  5. Have really enjoyed the game but would love a chance to fight early war battles with some of those monster French Tanks. I am guessing the East Front will come next, and if so please don't forget to have some Romanian, Italian and Hungarians too. Adds some variety to the mix. Hey I would love to see this 3D battlefield for Napoleonics or Ancients.
  6. Hmm, that is a good idea. He certainly was heroic that day, even ended the scenario intact. Just about now he's probably drinking some Dutch lager somewhere and kicking back.
  7. *******SPOILER BELOW******** Playing a user made scenario, Saving Mr. Nimtz, I was confronted with at least 3 remaining German tanks. I had but a lone Firefly and my infantry to stem the tide. Signaling Sgt Hinchcliffe of XXX Corp that it was time for him to attack two German tanks closing in on the objective, (and not knowing where his Tiger was) I held my breath as Sgt Hinchcliffe drove up a slope and had the two PzIv's with a nice side view....Ops, the Sgt opened up on the German infantry.....luckily my bazooka's were keeping the Pziv's busy. After a couple of rounds at the infantry, Hinchcliffe traversed to a new target, oh S**t, the Tiger! Smoke coughed from the Tigers barrel and hey, he missed. Hinchcliffe returned fire at 585 meters and scratch one Tiger. H now traversed to one of the PzIv's still preoccupied by the infantry and bazooka's firing at him, swoosh, one barbecured PzIv. Finally, another short traverse and another swoosh, another PzIv in flames. This was a first for me....three shoots three kills by a Brit tanker no less....I just wish I knew how to save the replay. Can anyone help me here?
  8. I have seen many posts commenting on the book and was thrilled to see that a movie is coming out sometime before the end of the year. Enterainment Weekly had a photo in the latest movie preview issue. ------------------ Joe
