Just to play devil's advocate. Sweden probably had better chances than Yugoslavia or Greece. If the criminal forces you to commit criminal acts doesn't there have to be a point of no return. I say this not to castigate the Swedes but to give props to the Yugos and Greeks, they had to know they were going to get hammered but didn't they make the only honorable choice any nation could have made?

My Dad a Korean War vet says he witnessed an instance of an NCO shooting a fleeing GI in the midst of a Chinese assault. He says he honestly believed it kept his whole platoon from bugging out. He's also told me of instances of fragging officers. The chain dogs of the Feldgendarmerie did have an old tradition. Their gorgets were holdovers from the 15th century or so, sort of like the Curiassers of the French Army.

I play against the about once a week. I have an erratic schedule too. Then again I'm not very good either. There confession being good for the soul I feel better.

I looked at the photo in the encyclopedia, and the description was TD, but the vehicle was turreted and looked like an undergunned KV. My references on Soviet armor are thin, but I'd never heard of a Kv sporting a 57. But the 57 was a fairly useful ATG. The source stated it was used in 1943-44. Please help my curiosity is piqued.

Could be, they brewed like halftracks when hit by 37mm. Thanks. I thought maybe it was a case of spare turrets, spare 57mms, and a great need for AFVs.

When playing a game of Spww2 recently I got a platoon of KV 57s. My question is of course was there any such vehicle?

Call me impatient but Matt is right if other companies were as concerned about being honorable. I get ticked when somebody tells me something is going to be delivered on such and such a date and no joy. I appreciate one software co. that doesn't stiif me.

Let me say that I teach Geography/History to 7th graders. (So shouldn't I get a free advance copy?) The real point is that far from being the most important subject it and science are the least emphasized subjects. I am supposed to give an overview of the geography of the planet and inculcate some historical awareness in 90 days. I have an hour and fifteen minutes per block. I love history and my work but I have few illusions about how effective I can be under the current constraints.

vive el presidente! I think your first official act should be to install me as a beta tester for CMBB. I would do this gratis to help you off to a good start.

I kind of like the flakvierling. Quadruple your pleasure. I have to say I'm looking forward to those Quad maxims in CMBB. Must have a thing about four.

Yea verily, I promise diligently to play with rarity the first 99 times I play. Of course that may take a week if I'm busy with teaching le histoire to mes infants. So I could see all those esoteric units that have been mentioned. Did someone say salivating like a Pavlov dog?

I thought the Arctic front was pretty far west of Murmansk. I am interested in naval infantry in general and the black death comment is accurate.
-
One of my hopes is about satellite armor. I know in other games (SP & SPwaw) you end up with too many Hungarian Mk IVs, Romanian Tigers ... This is inspite if rarity factors that are supposed to deal with this sort of thing.

Sounds great, and your point about premature releases is a valid one. So I'll try and be patient.

Isn't running into unexpected enemies sort of the whole crux of the recon idea?

Was that because he was to hung, drawn, and quartered? If so why not?

upper volta indeed . The nation in question is known as Burkina Faso. No jokes about Ougadougou either please. But seriously LW has an issue there were lots of Italian troops who served in the USSR.
-
Are there to be Bulgarians. No Bulgarian troops fought on the Ostfront at least with the approval of their government.

the Germans were impressed enough by the firepower of Soviet smgs that they tried an arrangement to place two magazines side by side under an MP40. It wasn't a huge success.
-
I believe the most common Soviet pistol was the Nagant 7 shot revolver. Sending smgs to the USSR is the greatest example of sending coals to Newcastle I've ever heard.
-
If Moisin-Nagants weren't the main battle rifle could you tell the mass of uninformed humanity exactly what rifle was? The PPsh wasn't the only sub-gun but it sure was the most common.
Will CM2 have unit roster?

My point was that at least according to some sources the concessions about minerals weren't exactly minor. I was also saying, and I can't cite anything concrete, that my "gut feeling " is that the Swedes could have put up a far greater resisitance, by their regular forces, than the Yugos or Greeks. My real point was this isn't there a line even countries, engaged in realpolitik, have to draw or else coercion becomes colloboration.
