How long do most PBEM's last? ballpark. and can the files be sent through icq?

i checked the order screen today, and the backorder screen is gone. so hopefully all of our CM's are going to be shipped soon. i am happy.

i still dont understand how an email dictates the players moves? hows the programming set up to do that?

i only have the demo (its ordered) .... and i feel like a mook for asking.... but what the hell is a PBEM???

hello. i'm new to cm; (noticed it on a webpage as #2 strategy game at the time, decided to check it out) and i'm glad i did. the accuracy of the units really appeals to a history buff. anyway, on to my point. i've got a copy ordered, but for now, i'm just trying to master the demo scenarios. my question is exactly how mutliplayer works in cm (connecting, setup, interface?) . the game is awesome as i play it now, but testing wits against another person would be the ultimate. thanks in advance -krueger
